I have been around "Bullet Proof" at a couple of poker runs and that boat is very nice. In fact, I was amazed that the boat was as old as he told me. Very nice. I think the best day was coming back from St. Augustine on the ocean to Daytona. We ran hard the whole way back.

If you put that boat up for sale you need to contact me, my buddy will buy her in a minute!!

i owned a 1990 with the 502's (400hp) and bravos from 90-99 and that boat was sloooow. was like a tank. also, think the hull was designed poorly as the props were always loosing their bite in waves and chop. it was the worst, everytime you'd chop the throttle and punch it again, it would just rev up like you wouldn't believe and wouldn't regain the bite until you backed the throttle all the way back down again even though you running fully in the water again. maybe it was the way ours was mounted but i couldn't stand it, you couldn't even go fast when it got rough. also didn't like how the throttles are mounted right against the padding so you can't really get your hand around them, just had to hold them on top. just a few things i didn't like about it

Default Lose props and bad in the "rough"?????

dbhammer:
It sounds like you had the wrong props or possibly a bad "X" Dim. Was this a "stepped transon" Bravo boat? Or a TRS boat? I've never heard anyone with those problems. Particularly with such low power. Most had really conservative X's and you'd have to be out of teh water to slip the prop.

As for being slow, it takes a bit of power to get a 9000lb boat with an 8'7" beam to get going but moderate power should get you in the 70's for sure.
