Not the E-type...but it was the boat owned by the same guy that had the E-type built. Colors are very similar.

I cried... One of my favorite boats. I had the pleasure of running it once and ridding a couple times.

"Witness Michael Wilmoth said his boat was overtaken by the craft that crashed.
"I was probably doing about 80-85," he said. "They were doing over 100." ------------------- niiiiiiiiiiice! *waits for dumbass posts blaming the boat* |

I just saw first hand pictures and they were not wearing life jackets either.
lol, christ...... That's probably the most powerful Cigarette, pound for pound, that you could build to date. You'd need to SERIOUSLY know what's up when running that boat hard. Barring one of those steel monsters you can see for miles, sometimes it's better to just run those plastic bouys/crabpots over when you're running fast, rather than risking an accident to miss it. I'm sure glad everyone is alive. They really got lucky on this one. |

It's still a shame.....:( |
Glad everone is OK.
A fine, expensive powerboat like that rolled is depressing. Ed |
Not everyday everyone on board survives a roll over at those speeds....definately a miracle since they hadn't been wearing any life jackets. Good to hear everyone is alright.
That is the very boat that made me a big fan of the 39...absolutely love everything about that boat. |
Sad - luckily no one died. More bad publicity for the sport and the brand.
