i still think my 1st answer was the closest he's gonna get to a bigger cig w/ single.
He is coming from a 25ft already.

hell cig1, he could always buy a used 28 cig and send it to Lipship and make it a killer w/a monster single.
That'd be sweet! but that'd be some serious $$.

But i also tend to agree w/ C36, that the bigger heavier 28s+ run better with twins...sbc's imo.

Busy with work, but considering all my overhead that's probably a good thing!

Default 28 Cigarette hull

I have a 28 Cigarette hull on a tandem trailer that I'll sell reasonably if you want to build a single yourself. I also happen to have a Merc 454 / 420 takeout.

I appreciate all the replys so far!. I looked at the early 80's 24 Cigarette that had the link posted. It's a nice ride, but I want something a little more modern. Seems like in the later 80's the windshield was set back quite a bit more and the cockpit was smaller and the cabin was larger and the nose was longer. That's what I want. I could find many other single engine 28 footers out there, but I want the Cigarette name mostly! I wanna learn to love the Cigarette, as I've learned to love my Checkmate. I want to become that Cigarette fan. And I don't want to build or restore an entire boat. Dropping in an engine or doing some interior work is OK. Looking to spend up to $25,000. Maybe 30,000 but I'd have to trade some toys.....72mph Checkmate, 2001 Harley SuperGlide, 1996 Kubota B-1700 Diesel 4WD tractor. Boy it'd be nice to trade all 3 things for a really nice older Cig! Then I could afford the TWINS!!

my 28 single runs pretty good.......I havent met a v bottom under 30ft with twin sbc on the water that can outrun me.

A squadron with a big single and a lipship job would be nice.

I rode in one of the 2006 20's yesterday. What a nice job they do. The interior is sick with the console.
