To be more specific, I was responding to the post above that priced the Flag boat in the $70's range after his deductions stating "It is what it is"

My only statement was that boat (that I have seen twice I think over the last couple years) is worth considerably more.

AND the only OPINION portion of my post is that I would take that boat over an early TS with HP500's......which I would for many reasons including drives, cabin comfort, etc.....GEEZ! Are no opinions allowed anymore on here!

I guess we'll find out what that Gun is worth when it sells....maybe....

The first boat is a repo with 600 hours on it and needs some lovin'....Though a buddy may be buying it this week:eek:

I believe I read the second one needs some TLC too.

"You get what you pay for" rings true 9 times out of 10 I find. But hey, keep rolling the dice, sifting throught the crap looking for the 1%

AMEN

the problem with this economy guys is that markets dictate prices. I cant give my cigarette away.

jeff1000man 07-06-2009 06:28 PM

I am finding a lot of guys that are just getting away from the powerboats all together. That decreases the market sample that you can pull from. Factor in a slowing economy, and you can't even give one away, much less sell it.

you get what you pay for u buy it cheap and usually it needs work, pictures and in person are two different worlds, with the hours on these boats looks like time for new heads on the HP 500s find out if they were done or not otherwise one bad exhaust seat can cause a whole lot of headache the first boat is real nice i don't know about 800Hp from natural 540's but i am not one to judge a new Cigarette still sells for a lot more than that and as far as the straight bottom hull for me its the only way to go I will give up some speed for my cadillac ride

Yep. This has been beat to death in the last couple years. Some people need to unload boats and some don't. Those that must unload will be willing to make a helluva deal to someone. Those that aren't will continue to enjoy their boats and if the right money comes along.........
