Just curious what price this gun is worth in this market and would you be concerned buying it with non merc engines

You should call the guy and see what you are getting.

I've done that and he is a great guy. My last cig i bought has been a disaster with the engines and i don't want to go through it again.

Boat looks great but that is quite a premium still for a straight bottom Gun when you can buy one like Wild's which is in great condition, an 03, with step bottom, stock power for not a whole lot more. There are several more like this but his came to mind in the $140k range and there are several others like it out there. Just my .02. Good luck shopping.

I would say it is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it! Great looking boat though!!

I know the seller and the boat very well. He had a short string of bad engines due to a builder who was giving him a snow-job. The current engines are top notch and rock solid; built by a totally different shop. The boat is so sharp, and very clean. It does not look its age at all, not even close. The KV boat is going to be a big lighter than the rest of the straight bottom boats of it's time.

Jim is a 1000% straight shooter. He's got a brand new aluminum Myco and the totally redone steel Target trailer. Either can go with the boat. They have elected to totally redo their house, and their kids have gotten into sports and wake-boarding, etc. etc; so they just are not wrapped around the sport the way they used to be. Give him a call--send him and email--make him an offer. I think you will be pleased with his response.

Fortunately it would be an easy boat to repaint. The paint does not wrap over onto the deck, just the sides, and it's not completely covered in paint.
