Need opinions on this boat. 2002 38' TG
 

I have been in the sand world for the last 8 years and am going to the boat world now. I know little to nothing about boats and have never owned one. I have done a lot of looking and I think I have seen every boat for sale on the entire internet. Lol. I think this one might work for me and wanted some input from the experts. I live in Michigan and the boat would spend a lot of time on Lake Michigan. Thank you for any input you have on this boat. Also, can someone tell me the cabin headroom height? I have looked through all threads and cant find the info..

I cant comment on the boat cause I don't know about it , but I will tell you t omake sure you get a survey done ( by your guy) and if you do purchase something, take the Tres Martin Performance School course.. it will be the best thing you did for you and more importantly your friends and family who will be you on the boat.

Looks like a clean good looking boat. Priced right. Perfect for Lake Michigan. Just don't turn like an idiot and your fine. With 500's I don't even think you'd have a problem. Steps are definetly the way to go.

You should have some wiggle room on the asking price, since the boat doesn't have ITS steering & has the 500EFI's instead of 525's.

After the 2001 models, the standard engines on that model were usually 525's with ITS steering. Some of the 02's got 500's without ITS, depending on when they were built in 2001.

It will be a nice reliable boat with that power. I would continue to look around at what else is out there with that asking price, just to weigh your options. I bet you could find one with 525's & ITS for real close to that number. The asking price is almost always negotiable.

Thanks for your input guys. I cant believe nobody whats to tell me the height of the cabin. There has been over 211 visits to this thread. Maybe because I am the new guy. I know how that works in forums.

Low, not sure of he exact height, but I am 6'2" and I really need to lower my head when I am down there... I am going to guess around 5 1/5 feet or so
