I second that! Boxes and IV's are cool!

Was this a #3 boat that you added boxes and IV's to? If so, tell us about the performance changes.

It came from cigarette with the boxe's #3's & 540ci hawk engines.I put in the 572's and took off the 3's and put on the #4's.I have tried alot off different props can't get the slip factor down below 28%,from 4,000-5,500 I have a large amount of slip.I'm going to try another pair this weekend,Im hoping to get her to run close to 80.btw the prop shaft is 1.5" below the bottom thanks for the nice compliments.

I tried 17x26 5 blade hering's with not much luck.I'm looking for some larger diameter like you said, hopefully it will get my slip down. Its hard to find the larger diameter in the lower pitch numbers, like 26-28 pitch in a 5 blade.

Where did you get those cool cavitation plates for the #4 drives?? I dont have them, and everytime someone, including myself, steps on my swim platform, freaks me out the thought of slipping and landing on one of those cleavers. ugh

They were on the drives already when I bought them, the guy told me they help get the boat on plane by keeping the prop flooded with wate,It dosen't seem to make any difference with them on.

try removing the plates,,could be causing captivation by drowning the props..
