When with the 900's, they come with a 18x32 5 blades. Although, Strip Poker has the 900's and it has a pr. of 17.5x32 5 bladers. The 32's let you spin the engines about 5850-5900 rpm with the 900's. Don't know what kind of rpm you're lookin for.

Measured the bottom, and found the prop shafts to be 3" below the bottom running edge of the boat. That was by running a straight edge along the bottom inline with the prop shafts on the drives. Now quite sure how you measure the X, but hope these pics can give you some ideas. I do have more if you need to see them.

Thanks, That is what I needed to know. I have 17x29 5 blades on the rev. and I am over propped. I only turn 5000rpms. I would like to spin 6000rpms so with less power the 29s might be close. Has anyone tried spinning the props in on a 46 and did you gain speed and how was handling around the dock?

Mine spins in as far as I know. i thought all the staggered 46's spun in. Handling around the dock is great. Spins on a dime in place.

Is this in or out. Whatever it is it works great.

Are you going to stagger it or leave it side by side. the transom now is set up for 6's, if you run it the way it is set up now it will be pretty close. minus the weight of the V12's compared to V 8's. measure a number 6 then see where center is on the transom cutouts. it should get you very close.

As for turning in on staggers, it gives more speed and is only slightly less around the docks. Side by side motors and turning in again gives more speed, and on my 42 there was no difference in dock manners.

In theory if you keep it side by side and turn them in you should carry the bow a little more which will help you due to the loss in hp and the additional weight of the full cabin.

For measurements sake, check the length of the engine bay to other 46's to see if it was made longer to accommodate the V12's or if it is the same length.

Basically all stagger step boats spin in. Good luck on the 46!

I was told once, that when you pick up a prop is how to tell RH or LH. If the blade fits in you hand then its that side. My boats RH goes on left and LH on right, I'm pretty sure.

from the pic, yours are turning in. its the rotation of the prop as to whether it turns towards the center of the boat or the outside.
