Could length/bouyancy have anything to do w/ that?

A straight bottom gun will have more freeboard.
My 35 was a 2002 and tied up next to another 02 top gun (bravo drives) they were the same. when tied up next to Tom's ( Hot for Teacher) i had a little more freeboard but he has 6 drives and big motors

I don't know but I can tell you the boat I was tied up next to had 4 guys that were all 200+, I had two guys about 180 and two chicks about 100. I would have thought that since the Gun was longer is would have been higher.

I agree the free board is less but I think the cockpit is as deep.

I'll second that (or third that). I now have Tricky's Playboy and it seems no matter how she's loaded, she'll do 82mph all day long.

What kind of props are you spinning?

Mine was a 02 and with 500 efi's it did 84 on a good day
loaded and full of fuel 80

I really like that 35 and its paint. I am happy with your old mystique Bill. Im hoping the Ocean goes this sprng. If my family really likes the fast boat then maybe even upgrade. But we will enjoy the mystique this year.

I loved that Mystique. That is the most solid 30' boat I have ever ridden in. It was great to trailer around and had the right paint and power. You will have a great time with that boat.

Thanks. In the summer i will post more and may have questions for others that had them. I ran it once before it got to cold. Feels like i never left the fast boats ,i was right at home at the helm. I always thought the boat looked good and it does look better in person.

Bill sent me the pics Mike, I'm really sorry that you got caught up in all the business crap, last year was tough for alot of people. the boat is beautiful and if Bill does wind up with it, it will surely be taken care of... If your up this way in the summer and need to get out let us know...:)

I'm guessing these are the factory props, four blade 30's

if i am not mistaken the 35 is made from the cafe mold for the hull and it has a cut down topgun deck on it i have a 35 topgun that became the playboy later on the hull is identical on mine with a cafe no notch in transom the only difference is a step in the playboys hull. my boat has no step HP500s and runs 78 in pretty much any condition. Handles the ruff water great. Thats looks like a real nice boat.

I put some labbed 30's on mine and had great results. Boat exclerated much better.

Nothing, When i was at Cig i was told if it doesn't have the playboy logo then it is a mistress, but if you check nada all the 2001 and 02 35's are called Playboy's. there isn't a listing for Mistress.

There were only 12 made and less then half had the Playboy logo's

Boat probably has a extended cover-girl. Two big couches and a tramopline with a pad on it. I had a sink added to mine. Several PB had toilets with a holding tank.

I know this doesn't answer your question about headroom etc. Here is a pic. of my cabin. I'll try to measure height over the next couple of days and post. I'm 5'10" and have plenty of headroom when sitting down in the cabin.

late 2000 2001-2002 cig and playboy entered into a marketing agreement with playboy to license the name and logo for the 35 t/s 12-14 were made

most were playboys w 500 efi, later afr the licensing agreement ran out... the last few hulls were dubbed mistress after the old 35 or "top gun 35" if thats what the guy writing the check wanted and a mix of 525 and 496 power

one white

those i refer to full playboy spec with the wood floor and other goodies.. KE dressed engines, tabs and MM throttle and shift and steer and ULTRA eather interior

then there were "lesser" playboys not dressed but had PB graphix on side
one white
2? blue (rumor,i think one)

then some davis hunter ones
like brads and h20 toies i think 5

then i think maybe 2-3 2003 mistress/ top guns

top gun 35 came out in 1999 - 2000 most of them had no step i think the later ones had a single step. then they made it a playboy and a mistress after that
