As I'm typing this, I am beside myself, as I can't believe that I'm about to ask the following question.

Obviously, in todays market, Cigarette pricing is all over the road. Even so, I realize that I'm not likely to get anything near what I have into it, so............here it goes........"Based on everything that you know about my boat throughout this forum, can anyone advise as to what I could reasonably sell my boat for?" No stone was left unturned, and no expense was spared.......if it even matters.

Hopefully, business wise, something will pop in the next 30 days, otherwise, I fear that she'll have to go. :(

Any thought's or opinions would be appreciated.

Man that sucks to hear I hope and pray things pick up for you soon. After all the time and effort you have restored such a awesome boat I would hate to see you sell it. It is tuff on the price because most that invest that much money don't expect or won't get it out so they plan on keeping the boat for a long time. I could not even guess at a price because I could only think what you have into her and the price will not be near that. Again I hope that things turn around for you! Such an awesome boat, I am in the market for a Cafe just would hate to insult you with a price.

I don't get the marine industry seems there are more bad people than good sad to see. It is not like you dealing with chump change boats are not cheap no matter the size or brand.

Thanks Mike!

It's the competition that's killing us right now. They're doing work for less than cost! What sense does that make?!? As I say, they're going to work themselves out of business. If I'm potentially going to lose money on a job, then I may as well keep my trucks parked.

Question: What do you figure she'll run with the motors you're sticking in there? You have Bravo I drives correct?

TRS. We hit 62 on the GPS before the rebuild with full fuel. Keeping them stock, with a few minor adjustments, we think we can get 65 out of em. Not too bad for stock 400's. :)

I've followed your project and i think I commented over the pages. Great outcome and i wish the economy would be good like people have been talking about!
Would love to see some videos if you ever get a chance. :)

Seriously thinking about putting her up for sale after the 1st of the year...........................................

If I do, someone is really gonna hit a home run with this one. If I'm lucky, I'll get half of what I have into it. And someone will be literally getting a brand new boat with no stone left unturned. There is roughly 16 hours on the meters since the boat hit the water for the first time in July.

Most people buy low and sell high. Not me, apparently, I like giving my money away!!!!! :(

Not trying to be a cry baby...........just venting........

Ajacobazzi,

Do you have the boat finally running right/finished? I can't imagine the blood and tears you've invested in the project.

Almost.......The motors are back at Native to replace the heads. That should be the last piece of the puzzle, as everything will be brand new. Well, besides the crank and the block.

ajacobazzi 01-05-2011 12:42 PM

Well, I'm not 100% sure that I'm gonna sell (but) I figure that I would test the waters in the mean-time.

WOW!! Thats awesome!! Thank you. I'm humbled........

Unfortunately, I don't know how to do things half assed. It either gets done right, or it doesn't get done at all. And I'm a perfectionist too, and that doesn't help at all! It's expensive to be a perfectionist. :)

LAriverratt 01-05-2011 03:57 PM

love the engine compartment too. I would love to see it in person one day...sorry to see you selling it after all that work!

Thanks Frank. I love it too. I made it exactaly the way that I wanted it.

With the many cars that I've owned, I've always been told that I'm the guy you wanna buy something from. This is no exception.............someone will get an amazing, unused (more or less) resotred boat at $.50 on the dollar.

It breaks my heart and sickens me at the same time...........

LAriverratt 01-06-2011 06:51 AM

I hope that you end up being able to keep it, but if it does go... :(.....I hope it goes to someone who will care for it the way it deserves to be cared for!!!!

twin screws 01-06-2011 07:20 AM

My God, that is a beautiful boat......awesome job. If it were at all possible I would buy that boat. Best of luck selling.... it will sell.

What business are you in? I'm in the demolition business and I don't think anyone in construction is doing very well. I had to sell my Gun in 08 and at this time I can't even begine to think about buying.

Yeah, me too. It's kinda crazy, but, my toys are like children to me. I take them so personally that it's hard to let them go and I worry who may end up with them and how they'll care for them.

Your right, I too believe that contractors are taking one of the largest hits right now.

Thank you......really..... :)

It's nice to hear all of the compliments. If I don't say so myself, it really needs to be seen in person. I designed it along the lines of a Ferrari or Maserati. Classy. Simple. Elegant. Rich. I think the interior really shows it...........with the black piping on the seats, the steering wheel and dash. Even the carpet color really works well.

ajacobazzi 02-07-2011 02:37 PM

Well.......the day has finally arrived......AGAIN! LOL!!! As I write this, the bilge is being cleaned in preparation of the engines being re-installed. Beginning later today or tomorrow morning at the latest.

Title for the trailer is in and the registration should be completed in the next couple of days. The trailer bunks need to be adjusted also. So, I'd imagine I should have the trailer in my hands later in the week.

When we complete the sea trial, and the engine hatch is back on, I'll try and post a YouTube video.

Yes and No. We have some nice work on the books, but, we're far from being back to "normal". We need to get the cash flow going again. Even with work, it'll probably be a two month cycle to get cash rolling again. The work needs to be steady for things to normalize. If the work runs out again, so will the cash flow. :( It's a vicious cycle.

I'd like to. We'll see what happens. So far, I've only taken phone call inquiries. No one has come to look at it yet. Honestly, even if someone offered me my asking price, I'd have to sleep on it to be be absolutely 100% that I want to let it go.

shinglman 02-08-2011 08:34 PM

All I can say is WOW! That is a beautiful boat. Man I wish I was in the market for a new one. Good luck to you in your business and I hope you get to keep your baby.
