Too Good To Be True 39?

Doesnt this sound like a really great deal? Shouldnt the boat be faster than that spedo pic?

dreamer 09-26-2010 08:31 PM

Faster? Why?

They only made 5 center steer not popular at all

Not sure why...... I really did like that one... That aint a bad price.....

pm203 09-26-2010 08:53 PM

Its a great price for a 39 Topgun with Toad paint. I guess it all comes down to condition. If the boat is like new, its a deal.

The boat is in really good condition with only 63 hours and a Myco trailer......................it's a very good deal. And a new GPS.

pm203 09-26-2010 10:25 PM

I'll say

Shouldn't be a problem at this price.

For some of us this is one of the ultimate T/S gun because not only is it a 39 but it has an enclosed bathroom and built cabin.

Personally - I don't like the paint no matter who painted it. The TOP GUN down the side looks like it came off a Montgomery Ward microwave.

I still think it is a smoking deal for 175k, and 88mph on 525's seems decently quick....

pm203 09-27-2010 07:09 AM

Alot of boat fot the money. Its at a price where certain things can be overlooked.

SKRAMER 09-27-2010 07:16 AM

How difficult and how expensive to change back to right side steering?

Very.

As I'm sure you see, it does have the option of having the steering moved to the Starboard side. You would then just need to reposition the throttles if you wanted to, & probably just get used to looking at the gauges from a different viewpoint.

That dash on those, came from it's own mold like the ones you see today. I only mention this, because to "completely" change the dash to the more common one, would take a great deal of glasswork, as well as construction, to make the rear panels fit into the cabins layout. The head, seating, etc, downstairs, all works with the layout of the dash upstairs in the way it fits together. Moving the electric door would be quite a job as well, since it also fits into the puzzle with the dash & cabin.

I'd almost question if it could even be done, without essentially rebuilding the center portion of the boat inside & out.

I bet $150k takes it in the end....... just a fun guess http://smiliesftw.com/x/coolugh.gif

Not very much fun for the guy selling it...ouch.

ActiveFun 09-27-2010 01:33 PM

Wish I had the coin.

Sydwayz 09-27-2010 01:38 PM

I was on it a few times when it was new at the former Offshore Performance in Maryland. It set up pretty sweet.

Too close to ride with another hard tail, ok with split tail.

Cash Bar 09-27-2010 11:51 PM

Or several split tails.

Thats a tough one. The 39 only has 63 hours. Great find though! Why does the economy have to suck!!!

Actually it's in Guadeloupe in the French West Indies. I'm in the Virgin Islands so it's actually pretty close to me. I'm not in the market but just thought it was a really good deal if it's in good shape. Lowest priced 06 38TG I have seen listed anywhere.

there is a big difference between a 38' and a 39' Cigarette.

kreed 09-28-2010 01:35 PM

Yea, well the ONLY differences for me are: I cant afford the first one...and I DEFINITLEY cant afford the second one! :lolhit: Thats the difference!

twin screws 09-28-2010 01:41 PM

I don't think that an 06, I thought that was the year they changed to the new molds. Because of the front seats it looks like an 04 to me.

Cool. You guys have lots of nice boats down there in Martinique. Did your friend drive it up from Guadeloupe?
