Thanx Brad !!!! good thread. Speeds seem to be all over the place ?? Is that because of the notched transom or no notch ?? Also saw a thread long time ago about big speed increase with 2" shortie drives ? anyone remember ?

Bird Dog: i am just finishing up a refit on my bullet and can tell ya...I LOVE IT!! it is a heavy boat but it runs w/ the bigger boats all day and doesnt miss a beat. the cockpit is tighter than the guns or cafes but i can get 5-6 people out for a comfortable ride. the cabin is pretty nice in size and has plenty of space for me. i am running 454's that were bored and stroked to 496 w/ 250 blowers and 1280 nickersons. i am only up to 3 lbs boost and run 75 at 5000 w/ 28 bravos. i am now looking at imco shorties or a nosecone for mine as i hear the 89 bravos arent very efficient at those speeds and will start playing w/ props and a little more boost too. should be able to get low 80's is what i am told. here is a pic from the daytona run. let me know if you are interested and you may be able to talk me out of it.

I saw the pics of the paint in progress and was impressed then, but when you put it in the water..WOW!
Your hard work definitely paid off!
Congrats on an outstanding looking Cig!
