my brother has a red and white paint scheme boat. boat didnt do 90 from the factory just had the paint. now it has 572's with 5 Liter whipples. detuned to 1000hp and konrad drives. 99 mph in 5-6 footers on lake ontario

I talked to Carl about it a while back and I thought he said he didn't have a trailer and the the big problem is getting Cecil to bring Fat Boy back in the States from the BVI. I bet if Carl doesn't have a trailer we could get someone to donate one if this was going to happen.

He does have a trailer as a matter a fact the boat is sitting on of the Myco

If so, it used to be called "The Dealer". We owned that boat for almost 10 years. Your brother has done a fantastic job updating it :cool:

Doug, I'd love to get our boats together for a run and a photo shoot......Carl's boat will get there as well, I don't think there'd be much arm twisting needed......I have a picture of the only known photo to me where two 90 MPHs are together in the same picture....hehe, I took the picture of Carl's and mine at Tommy's shop.....unfortunatley, I can't post it here until I figure out why I can't post pictures any more....

in fact, I think i posted it on OSO a couple of years ago.....hmmm wonder if I can find it.....

I think i saw it in Kew West a couple of years ago at the World Championship. Any ways that is the nicest looking boat i've ever seen.

Yeah my old turd has a trailer, probably needs some air in the tires too! It still has the original paint scheme in fact very close to the show Cigarette a few years ago.

There was quite a difference in the Cigs back then. Mine was layed up at Cig but not one hole drilled. It went to TNT for all rigging becuase it was going to be the Venice to Monte Carlo run like Fat Boy was used for (that is why Fat Boy has the weird cabin so they could repair it) Most 93 Cigs were in the 120 range and mine ticketed closer to 300, big money in 93.

It would be cool to get them all together so let me know. Maybe a nice sunset shot in the Keys!

Until you own and fly a stagger boat you really will not understand. The cockpit does suck for just laying around and having drinks but look at some of the photos of my passengers when we are running in the lumps. No hanging on to the rail on the rear of the front seat bent over, just your own hole, nice safe and secure! Balance and engine room access are the game here.

Add in boxes, huge K-planes, SSM drives and the boat has a whole new personality. That is why it costs more for this lay-up and rigging.

I would sell mine at $140,000 but not a penny less. That would be a fair price because I could never find the boat again for the same money. But unless you know what it is the price would seem high, especially in todays go-fast world.
