Im just glad my bilge isnt the only one that looks like that.

I dont have the part number but I think one of these years when I pull the engines I am going to move mine closer to the sea strainers. Very diffucult to open/close hanging over hot exhaust.

Lol, well as far open/closing them mine has t-handles mounted at the front of the engines near the electric fuel pumps that open and close them...that's why the red cables are on top.

But I agree, I think when I replace them I will move them closer to the strainers also

It's just a brass ball valve with a lever modified for the morse cable. Should be able to get at Grainger or any supply house.

Yeah I was wondering if that's all it was. With the lever removed and that cable bracket mounted instead.

The problem is going to be getting at it...

Has anyone replaced these with their motors still in?

Curious as to which is better, stainless or brass for this application?

Bling factor is certainly not an issue here

We have stainless ball valves that are on a standard handle. They have a 2 threaded hole flange on the bottom. Looking at this, we would just need to modify the handle and tap it for a quick release cable bracket.

Talking to our main fabrication guy Mike doesn't recall building this type of set up before, but it can easily be done!

Give us a call and we can work out a new *****en, SS set up for you.

Eric
