Cig TG & Apparel

My wife & I are planning to purchase a Cig TG in the next week. We were wondering if there was any additional websites to purchase Cig accessories or apparel other than the Cig store, ebay and Lip ship? I'm sure after the purchase, being a new Cig owner, I'll have MANY questions & posts on here with technical questions!! :lolhit: looking forward to finally becoming an owner....should happen this weekend! :drink:

Congrats and welcome! There are a few things I miss about my Envision, but I am really enjoying the Cig. I'll be interested in how you compare your 36' to the Gun.

I think you hit the prominent places, but from what I have picked up in the last few years, there are a few small shops that have this or that for Cigs, and asking here seems to be the best way to find out.

jasonmd2 08-17-2011 12:11 PM

Hope everything works our for you this weekend and you become a member of the Cigarette family :drink:

Lip-Ship should be your one stop shop. Phil has everything and if he doesn't have it he can get it or get you something better. That would be my first call if I was you

Jason, thanks for the response. I should have just emailed you! I'll keep you posted on what happens....I believe I'll be a Cigarette owner by the end of the weekend and looking forward to it...too bad it's towards the end of the season here.

Thanks for the response. We will still have the Envision for now, gonna sell it....hopefully. The 36' Envision is GREAT in the rough stuff, cruises 45 MPH smashing through any wave condition thrown at it. I've never had a complaint on the ride quality and doesn't bang anyone around a bit. The open bow/mid cabin is nice too when coving out. We've just been really wanting a "1" on the side of our boat so thought we'd just make the move, really looking forward to it. My Dad is getting a bit older now and with the potential for grandkids in the near future wants a tri-toon so we thought, we'll get a Cig, sell the Envision, and get a Tri-toon. Easy going party boat and go-fast, that is the best situation for us. I'll keep you posted in this thread.

I too wouldn't mind having other options for Cig apparel. Lip Ship doesn't have the Cig towels that we've been wanting to order for over year now, and Cig has been out of stock on them all summer.

Thanks for the Congrats part. At this time looks like everything is in line....however, I'll spill it when my truck is hooked up to it and my name is on the title & coast guard paper work!! I don't want to jinks anything just yet, unlucky $hit seems to always happen to me!!!:bsflag:

Yep, initially we thought there would be a lot of inventory and options. After looking around couldn't locate a whole lot. I was a bit shocked but My wife was definitely bummed. She wants to deck everyhing out in Cig stuff, me, herself, bar, dock...maybe even the puffy white dog!

BDiggity 08-18-2011 09:39 AM

Congrats on the purchase. Cant wait to see pictures.

I'll have to figure out how to post them. I'm not too big on technology so I may struggle. :party-smiley-004: I use this darn iPhone to get on OSO so I'll need to probably use a laptop to get pics on here.

Congratulations on your purchase. If you still have problems posting your pictures you can email them to me and I will post them for you.

Hey Ryan I guess everything is falling into place huh?

I can help you post some pix also if needed.

Good luck with everything, I'm sure you're pretty excited! :evilb:

36Envision 08-18-2011 04:33 PM

Can't wait to see her running up the lake on a busy Sat afternoon; at that point you will have gained the true understanding and appreciation of Cigarette ownership; congrats!

Thanks red bud. I saw your gladiator @ PBB a couple weekends ago. Beautiful boat.

You guys will get a kick outta this.....went to bank today to close my loan (unfortunately not wealthy enough to pay cash...but am putting 35% down on purchase price) I was told the past FULL week I was a 100% go, just waiting on a USCG title abstract and marine mortgage docs which I got to them. Keep in mind I was told at 10 am this morning everything was ready to be signed and we planned to leave tonight to pick up tomorrow. My wife & I get to bank at 5 tonight & they say, "well, our underwriter re-valued the boat & trailer this afternoon at only $44k" This is a boat with twin 2006 model year 525 EFI, Bravo XR's & 2006 Manning triple axle trailer!!! No stinkin way it is only worth $44k!!!! What was the value earlier in the week when everything was "fine"? :bsflag:

I hassled with them for 2 hours and they simply stuck their ground on $44k retail value....WTF?? I was told they will revalue based on information I provided but can't until morning. I'm gonna close it anyway and just put more down but these bank underwriters are nuts. Need to take a boat "market evaluation" class if they are going to do boat lending. Bank is US. On the road now....long a$$ night ahead.

carajn 08-19-2011 02:09 PM

2006 Tg $44,000.00 ??????

am i reading this correct? a 2006 cigarette top gun with a trailer they are only valuing it at $44,000.00 ? well keep your head up and don't be discouraged. i became a cigarette owner last year, spent more than i wanted but it has been a great experience and i will never look back as the times i have enjoyed have been priceless.

Schweeng 08-19-2011 03:14 PM

I think the motors are 2006... not the year of the boat.

Harvey 08-19-2011 03:29 PM

Congrats

baywatch 08-19-2011 03:35 PM

congrats!!! Hopefully today went smoother for you. We will look forward to seeing it shootout weekend.

36Envision 08-19-2011 05:48 PM

Ended up closing and boat is on the trailer heading back from shogren. Boat is a redone 1995 & has a 2006 manning triple axle trailer, 2006 525 EFI motors with around 98 hours and bravo XR drives. Bank valued boat & trailer @ $44k for loan purposes based on pure laziness of the underwriter not doing ANY due due diligence. It all ended up working out but took lots of work & extra time. Working on only 3 hours of sleep & to arrive at LOTO tonight around midnight. I'll post some pics soon. Thanks for all the Congrats. We are excited. Boat & trailer is super immaculate, runs great. GPS today at 72 MPH with 3/4 fuel, 5 adults on board. Gonna work w/B blades, lab the props & hope to get 74-75....cross your fingers.

I wish I was making the shootout. My dad, his GF & my wife may cruise the Cig up there for one afternoon but not me!!! Bum deal. I have a wedding to attend in CO. I gotta get my Dad in the boat this weekend with me to see how he handles it, should be easy for him....got the wife to drive it during the demo today but definitely not letting her loose!!

BTW - Boat was purchased at Shogren. They are amazing to work with. I'd recommend them to anyone. Scott, Greg and Ashley were very helpful.

Frequency 08-19-2011 06:32 PM

Glad everything fell into place. We're at the lake this weekend. If you see my avatar on the side of a boat - wave me over. :drink:

Weather permitting, we will be out around the 16-21 MM Saturday. Gonna grab lunch at shorty pants, dog days or backwater. I'll keep my eye out for you. Our boat is teal/purple. Would love to wave you over & shoot the $hit if we cross paths.:drink:

Thanks Jason, much appreciated. Yes, it is a good feeling! Boat runs really well and is in great shape, especially for the year.

I'll email you some pics once my wife loads them on her computer tomorrow evening. I don't know how to post them here. We are cooked tonight, been a long few days!!

Congrats man...I have a strong feeling this is the boat and if so, I saw it at Phils when he was doing all the upgrades and going through it. It is one clean machine....Again, congrats!

jbraun2828 08-22-2011 08:23 PM

I've been watching that boat for a while. Was a great deal for sure. Seems like Shogren has things figured out on how to move boats

That is it man!!! Thanks thisistank! Yes, it is a beauty. Exactly what we have been looking for the past 12-18 months. Phil re-rigged and updated the boat in 2005/2006 I believe. Has around 100 hours since re-rig. Minimal scratches, clean bilge and interior not to mention a nice trailer. Thanks for posting the pics. Looking forward to potentially running with fellow Cig owners in the future. :drink:

You got a beauty! Was it 05/06? Time flies! But I saw it at Phils when they were putting the motors in and doing the new interior moldings and what not. Sweet boat! I actually really like the paint/color scheme. Take lots of pics when you run her. Have fun man and congrats. :drink:

Thank you for the comments. Yes, motors are 2006. If I remember correctly phil last worked on the boat that year. We really like it. I'll take some pics in the water and get them on here in the next couple weeks. Unfortunately, won't be at LOTO shootout events and runs. :bsflag: First time we will miss out in 4-5 years!!

36Envision 09-03-2011 11:25 PM

So.....first full day of taking the Top Gun out and here is how it goes...

Forgot the keys at home!!!! Realized this once we were walking down steps to our dock. Secondly, once we got keys 3 hours later headed out & LOTO was some NASTY snot. (lots of big cruisers) The Door latch and catch both broke......third problem, cruising back up the lake at 45-50 max & still rough, hit a bunch of large mixed up cruiser swells and busted the port XR drive!! (I think boat needs smaller pitch props) We idled for 2.5 hours all the way back to dock & included rain. Finally get to dock & the boat lift decided to kick the can today.....the damn$ thing has always worked for years! The day couldn't have been better.....had a couple with us that had never been to the lake. I bet they never return......I might not either until next spring! Times like this is when golf seems like a much easier & cheaper hobby, except I suck @ the sport! I guess it could always be worse..I hope everyone elses weekends went very well. I dont wish days like this on fellow boaters. I am no expert on the drive so not sure how extensive the damage is, either.

Sorry about the day, ouch!!! Did you come into Easter Hollow cove today? (inside no wake 8mm) I love the cigs and was enjoying a beverage when I think I saw that boat. Someday a cig, I will have.

36Envision 09-04-2011 08:13 AM

I did idle into a cove @ 8mm yesterday, along with a slow idle down the channel when the drive busted!
