Yes I think it is due to the engines more forward.
I didn't mean to flaunt my Arnesons, but they do work good and don't break.

Had 700's in mine flew awesome loved 4's & 5's never hammered out of the hole and never had a drive problem. And one thing I never did was baby it!!!! I put the bravo's in mine, and I wouldn't change a thing I did. Also just found my boat in Germany still running 4 years later motors and drives. The only thing I did was put in the hp gamble rings.
