I know for a fact he has no intention of changing the current lines of the paint outside of changing the logo a little. He wants to keep the history of the boat like it is. Half nineties, stretching, or changing the layout is not in his plan.
He's had the thought of adding just a subtle pearl to the red for a mild look. He's afraid it would detract from future interest in the boat if he does it and wants to know if others agree with that thought or disagree.

Why wouldn't you paint the inside when you are already this far into it? If your already doing new outside paint and new panels there's not much left then it will be completely done along with new power.

As some may/may not know, we are currently redoing our Cafe. New power and new paint. Our Cafe has the 90 MPH paint scheme. We are not going to paint the interior area as it is still in very good shape - only redoing the dash with some carbon fiber and some very small detail items inside. We are completely repainting the outside i.e. hull, deck, drives, tabs, platform, etc...
My question is - can a person play with the sacred Cigarette 90 MPH paint? I am considering putting some pearl in the red. The pearl would not show from 10+ foot, only when you are upon it. Would a Cig owner be turned off by this? Or should I not goof around with the paint scheme and leave it a solid red? I'm checking out samples this Thursday and am really on the fence.
What do you think?

Your boat is timeless. I would maybee redo the cig oval and the Cafe script. Have an artist do some air brush work to make them trick. Also If you can feel your stripes, clear and sand to bury all the graphics. My two cents.
