Bilge paint opinions wanted

Wondering what the masses think...
While I have the engines out I'm thinking I might as well repaint the bilge. My question is what color??? It's currently white but I'm thinking maybe charcoal would like cool. The paint scheme on the boat is white/black/charcoal and purple. I'm thinking I'm going to powdercoat the engine mounts purple, paint the blocks charcoal and then purple accents on top of the motors...
So what do you guys think, white or charcoal for the bilge???

Looks good 502ss...how hard was it? The de-rigging is not something I'm looking forward to, lol.
Downtown i agree, white is standard and charcoal is considered more custom, but a lot more work too. Just not sure if it's worth it. It might be easier to just put a couple new coats over the white that's currently there.
BDiggity, sorry no red

This is what I used. Spent an hour on the phone with Sherman Williams with a material technician. He said this stuff would work the best for what I was doing!
It went on like a thick paint, great hold on vertical surfaces. Hard like nails once cured! I did 4 coats to cover up all the grey. The grey really looks bad as it starts to wear so I am hoping the white looks better plus it is really hard to see into the bilge with a dark color. I went with a gloss to aid in cleaning of the bilge when it comes time.
I taped up the gimbals and the few hydraulic lines I had coming Through the transom but only had to remove the bilge pumps. This is probably because most of my components (coolers, strainers, fuel pumps, fuel filters, etc. are all mounted on the engines so the bilge is pretty empty once I yank the engines
No idea the long term durability as I just painted it this fall. I guess time will tell!

Yeah the more I think about it I'm leaning towards white. For one it will be easier since it's already white. Two, I think a nice sparkling white bilge looks great...nice and clean and then the custom touches on the engines will still stand out just fine, maybe even more because they will be against white.
Thanks for all the opinions and keep them coming...right now it's about 65/35 for white

Something to consider - when they are white (or light colored)the bilge lighting is much more effective; and it doesn;t compete with swimsuit colors...the 39 was light blue the Glad is white.
