Wow, three months since i last posted an update on this thread...
I definitely hit the wall. Was so discussed with the engine building experience and the delays and BS that after Key West I just lost all ambition and sort of dumped the project to a back burner, of course a new house will do that to you.
So here's an update for those that are still interested. IT'S ALMOST DONE!!!! Okay, how many times have I said that already, lol. I dropped it off to Phil around the beginning of December. There were a few "hiccups" along the way...apparently I put the rear motor mounts on 180 degrees off so they had to take the tranny's and the bellhousings off and switch the mounts. At hearing this news I was REALLY glad that I didn't attempt to install them myself down at the marina! Then had to modify my tailpipes to address what I thought was a reversion problem. Still not sure it was but Jerry at Stainless Marine took care of the problem and so now I have no worries. The holidays delayed things, of course, but now the motors are in and running and just waiting to bring it to the interior shop. I suspect I might have to wait for all the boats that are getting worked on for the Miami boat show, so I'm planning on at least another month for that. At this point if I use it at all this summer I'll be happy

Okay guys...SHE'S FINALLY DONE!!!!
Wrapped everything up Friday and then got ready for a shake down run Saturday. Found a small problem Saturday night and fixed it early Sunday morning and then went out all day Sunday without a problem! Need to dial in props now but otherwise everything is right on! So happy with how it all turned out.
Here's some pics for now from what I have, need to get some better ones of her in the water now that she's all done, but pics were the last thing on my mind Sunday...just was happy to be back on the water after a long year and a half!
Enjoy!
