It's coming along Yankey, feels like it will never be done though
I've been out of town a bit so that's delayed things but here's some update pix of the engines. The first one is my mock up panel for the electronics accessory panels I'm using. They're all crappy cell phone pix but you get the idea...they're real close now!!!
Hopefully will get the accessories all test fitted tomorrow and everything painted that needs to be painted and then bolt it all together next week.
Oh yeah, all my new JL audio gear came in too really can't wait to get it all installed

Thanks for the nice comments guys, it's really encouraging to hear!
Further update...what's the saying, one step forward and 2 steps back??? Well maybe not but I didn't envision doing this at all, let alone at this point.
I pulled the outdrives and transom assemblies off today. One of the gimbal bearings apparently was worn and so I figured I might as well do it now, the money has more or less dried up but I figured it would be cheaper and easier to do it now so I'll go buy a few lottery tickets tomorrow
Everything looks good, transom is dry and solid and so I'm just going to do the gimbal bearing and a couple other maintenance items and then while everything is off I guess I'll paint them. Wish I did this at the very begining of this project, actually probably would have if I had know they would have come off so easily, would have made the bilge job that much nicer, anyways what can you do. I just can't believe that the WHOLE ENTIRE boat is disassembled now
I test fitted all the accessories Saturday and all went perfect. I'll tell you what, that Whipple kit is NICE!!! Everything was perfect, bolted right up and fit like a glove! So I painted all the accessories and should be bolting everything up this week and MAYBE, just maybe to the dyno this week too, fingers crossed!!!
This has been a REALLY long and SLOOOOOW project but I really like I'm nearing the end now... god I can't wait!!!

Okay, had about a week off on the motors, shop was closed for vaca.
As many of you are aware of, I'm dealing with the tedious steps of fitting all the accessories now. It seems SO simple but then...it's not
The alternator pulleys didn't fit right, had to return them and order other ones. The PS pulley had to be pressed on and the shaft was stripped out, had to fix that. The head studs hit the Stainless Marine exhaust manifold so had to cut them down a little. The oil filter mount hits the electronics panel I'm using...oh and then there's the little issue of the Whipple blower not providing enough clearance to change the distributor cap when installed
So needless to say this stage of what I thought was REALLY close is a little further away than I thought...
Anyways, some more updates to the boat itself. I got some new goodies in from Phily
carbon fiber fresh water flush panel and carbon fiber circuit breaker panel for under the steering wheel. I also swapped out the plain black toggle boots for black boots with purple bezels to add a little color and I wired in the new JL Audio amps! No pictures of those yet, or the speakers, the speakers won't be installed until the interior goes in...
I also re-did the whole fresh water system with a new pump and all new hoses and decided to move the fresh water shower from in the cockpit to out near the transom. I got a flush mount fresh water shower and mounted it on the side after the last vent near the rear cleat. I am really happy with how it fits here and this will be a much better spot for a shower than in the cockpit...I just don't understand the logic of where Cigarette mounted it. I can just imagine how this conversation went..."Hmm, where should we mount the fresh water shower, near the swim platform? No, no, I think we should mount it in the cockpit so that when the owners get out of the water they have to walk across their nicely upholstered engine hatch, then step down onto their nicely upholstered rear seat and shower off onto their nice cockpit carpet! Yes, great idea!!"
Anyways enjoy the pix

Sound like I might have to make another run over to see for myself that you are doing this correctly ...LOL.
The devil is in the details....
