42 Revolution Hard Candy

I have seen few differant threads started about the Revo's and a couple differant people said that they "own" or have ownded hard candy but the desc. and years of the boats dont add up. I just came across this. Is this Hard Candy and if so any backround of it

"Hard Candy" was actually the factory model name for all of the 42 Revolutions, similar to the model names Top Gun, Cafe Racer, Rough Rider, etc.
The boat you're talking about in this thread was called "Takeover", & was owned by Bob Porter, one of the brief owners of the actual company Cigarette.
The boat was in bad shape for awhile due to getting termites in it, thus rotting out a lot of the transom. It was then purchased & redone. I don't know of it's whereabouts or it's condition today, but I've seen the boat at various times throughout it's life. It was always at Fisher Island when Bob owned it.
