A 1994 TG with big motors for "only" $175K?

Staggered? Sure. Sixes? Check. Nice paint? Yep. Rare? Well, ok. $175K?

Seriously?

JMHO

u can get a t/s 46 RR for 200 or so

Sea-Dated 02-07-2012 02:31 PM

Cool boat and I hope the current owners like it because at that price they will have it for a while.

iamjoe 02-07-2012 02:35 PM

Same guy has a 2003 46 listed for $329K. Wonder if they know what year it is

302Sport 02-07-2012 02:49 PM

Drivetrain is worth about $50K these days, and I dont think the hull is worth anymore than $30K stripped even if it does have $50k worth of paint on it...........Also the sad truth is that a boat cut for sixes is worth less to 90 percent of the buyers because it costs that much more to rig and get going again. Only a couple of us idiots like myself would even consider buying an old flat bottom, big power boat.

POWERPLAY J 02-07-2012 02:59 PM

Knock the 1 off the front of the price and it might sell...

soggy bottom 02-07-2012 03:12 PM

I have not seen any RR for 200 G are there really some on the market for that price, or was that just a figure of speech.

dreamer 02-07-2012 03:19 PM

AM III sold for under 250 fully fresh drives trannies and 1075s last year

What is an older non fresh without merc power worth

Zero Patience 02-07-2012 08:10 PM

One of the five, very special. Please sell me a set of 6's and 30 hour 1100s for 50 k. Can you deliver?

302Sport 02-07-2012 08:14 PM

Yeah cobras and wet sixes, I know of two sets with exhaust for that number....also know of a set of sixes and cobra 900's for 4/5 that price

Rick G 02-07-2012 08:43 PM

I looked at the add. Where did you come up with the 175k price?
RG.

302Sport 02-07-2012 08:51 PM

It was on there until he read the thread most likely...

Seller must've been reading this thread. Price was removed. .

88bullet 02-07-2012 08:56 PM

:lolhit: maybe they are editing the price... the 1 must have been too close to the 7 on the key board ...the old fat finger mistake

I was thinking the same thing!

offshoredrillin 02-08-2012 06:25 AM

Funny all the usual "experts" and their comments. Bill Procter did that boat as he did all of his boats, to the T, to see the paint in person is simply amazing, the detail of the engine compartment is stunning as well. It is without a doubt one of the nicest straight bottom guns out there, regardless of what price tag Marc put out there on the listing some of you would never be happy, hence what you don't have boats. If you have the money the money that you "think" it is worth, show up with your piggy bank and make the offer, Bill is a reasonable man, just dont get offended when he laughs at you.

one poster in this thread needs to pay his debts before he trashes someone else ;)...dumbass

POWERPLAY J 02-08-2012 06:51 AM

Your serious? The rig does look great but I don't dont care who owned/owns it. Hey I have an acre of ocean front property in Utah, first 500k takes it.

SKRAMER 02-08-2012 06:52 AM

Awesome Rig!!!!! DAMN!!!!

yes i am serious, go make an offer if you are. just because Marc put a number to start with, that doesn't mean it's final. put up or shut up. If youre not going to make any offer on it why bash it?

POWERPLAY J 02-08-2012 08:05 AM

I don't see where anyone was bashing the rig. Its obviously a beautiful well taken care of ride. Go back and read my first post, there is my offer...

CHILL OUT! Nobody badmouthed the boat, nobody badmouthed the seller. I started the thread just because the price was astronomical for what it is regardless of who owned it, built it, drove it, etc. Now, if it was a pink 56 Caddy that Elvis owned and drove and there were pictures of him doing it, then who owned it matters; otherwise not so much............

Its still a near-20 year-old boat. That means old technology, old design, old construction techniques and old bones. Before you spout off about why I dont make an offer and all of that nonsense, I'm not in the market for a 20 year old boat. As a matter of fact, since I got creamed in the recession, I'm not looking for any boat. But all of us can still voice our opinion whether you like it or agree with it or not.

302Sport 02-08-2012 10:16 AM

Who wants to wager some money that this boat is listed for sale for a couple months, maybe cuts the price to $150K, then it falls back off the map??????????

crazyfast 02-08-2012 11:59 AM

Thank you offshoredrillin, we that know Bill Proctor realize his passion for the sport and for nice items. To 302, no fair on the wager, I already told you I'd take a skinny deal to sell the boat when you called me on it last week,lol....guys, it's a 18 yr old boat, old technology, but still someones pride and joy. It doesn't matter what the price would have been posted at, it will always be ''too high''some will still voice their opinion,I get that Thats exactly why I pulled the price...but if anyone was really serious, they would jump on a plane, see it and then make a offer. The boat is kinda like art, some people will like it, others... not so much. If the shoe was on the other foot, what would you price it at? It really doesn't matter does it? Obviously this boat is not for everyone, but it is for someone. Thx, Marc

This would be a comparable boat. Not the same but comparable. No question the stagger strait bottom cigs are rare and it's worth what the buyer and seller agree upon. I was turned on to this one today and thought about it before posting it for the masses, but its just not what I am looking for.

Figure getting it some OSO exposure will find it a home. Still looking.

No that is the real price out the door on a myco. That is why I decided I was going to pass before posting it. It will move. By the way those are dry sump 6s with the swept back skegs. Another benifit.

Saw this GUN (the Orange one) at Lake Cumberland a few years back and got to see it up close....it is stunning! If I had the coin it would be mine.

n20michael 02-08-2012 07:30 PM

The ownership might say 1992, but, the boat sure looks MUCH newer, clean and fast, I think that is one of the better deals I have seen in quite some time, I imagine the hull design is much better now than it was in 1992, but, it sure is a nice looking boat, thanks for posting, like most people if I had the coin.........

Michael

SLOWRIDE-388 02-08-2012 08:02 PM

Saw the orange one at Nauti Marine at LOTO a couple summer ago. It is very nicely done. A lot of detail and nice paint to go with it. Nice setup for the money.

Wow, super sharp looking TG!!! :eekdrop:

88bullet 02-08-2012 08:28 PM

that orange one was like 160k a year ago. it had fuel injection on it and was taken off and carbs installed. sweet boat but has been for sale for ever too. might move at the new price

n20michael 02-08-2012 08:48 PM

Would be a sweet boat with fuel injection, I guess some people look at think, no matter HOW nice it is, its still a 1992 Boat

I think its a pretty sweet boat, too bad its not a stepped hull, still for under a 100K, with #6's, and a Myco trailer its a pretty good deal.

Michael
