Hey Guys, I'm new to the boat world but I'm dead set on building a nostalgic off shore boat. In the near future I'd like to buy a Skater but in the mean time this is what I'd like to do. There is a 38 foot top gun and I'd like to build it with dual 800's or something close and would love to use arneson surface drives I'd like to hear your opinions on the boat and the drives. What I could expect for speed and if the boat would react well to surface drives or be in favor of the leverage from a #6 or imco. Thank you in advance! Cheers Robby Woods

I'm new to the big boat market and really want an F-29 open bow NXT drive with a merc 700 like the one for sail on powerboatlistings.com. But it's pretty steep and I saw the older f 34 for sale here that has teague 800s' and #6 drives. It is super cheap and could be bought for less than asking price. Dave told me that the 29 and 32 are "Much better boats all the way around" lets leave it at that.....I'd like to know what the 34 did bad and hw bad is it?
