Same exact setup, motors, hours, year, condition, etc.....

What is the extra 4 feet worth in today's market?

I agree m, but what's the general thought about difference? It seems like there are a lot of 46's for sale compared to 42's when you take into consideration how many less 46 were built. I've also heard of a couple 42 owners moving to a 46 then going back to the 42 because it is a better overall boat. Any truth to this?

I don't think the 4' brings more money. I think it is the drive train difference, 6's vs. Bravo or NXT and engine choice. Even the 39 compared to the 42X prices are close. Even on a 38 vs. 42 Tiger prices are pretty comparable. Length is length and it helps in rough water but trailering and paying for docking the 38 is everones favorite choice.

Agreed, this is why I went with the 38 instead of the 46....

I've owned a 42 and 46.

The 46 per cigarette is their most efficient hull. Guys going from the 39 go to a 46 if they're staying with cig. The 42 is not like a guy buying a 39 or 46. They usually buy a 42 because of price being lower. Just my 2 cents.

Are you saying that if I have a 42, it is not worth upgrading? Youve owned both so your input means a lot. How about HP for HP, is the 46 just as fast?

If I were to buy another cigarette. It would be a 46, it was just a great all around boat. With 1100's. That's an honest 115mph boat.
