Top ends should be done at 80 hours and right now they have about 15 on them.....

Yes I have spoken with someone at Cobra ( not Randy ) they knew the boat, spoke highly of it and were very helpful with all of my questions. I was surprised at there professionalism and willingness to help me on a boat they're not even selling. Theirs not as much maintenance as I would have expected..

Thank you guys for all the nice comments. I know where there is a set of Merc 850's for around $45k if that's what you wanted instead of the big power. I do not recommend 700's in a 42 because the boat is very boring to drive. 90mph in a twin step 42 is like an easy afternoon cruise.....

Love the 188th Street boat! Merc 850's would be a good fit for it.

I will tell you this is true my T/S runs amazingly flat and flies level, but after 95mph it is a handfull. I heard it is because the step is to large. So I have it propped for mid range to run to mid 90's and the accelaration is insane especailly for a 42' boat. The 3 relief step is the ticket to going over 100mph smoothly for sure.

were taking our Intrepid to key west, the cigarette stays nice and warm in a heated building up north all year.
