Mistress is going to XT for interior!
Cant wait to take Bessey to Dave at XT, hoping to Saturday when weather looks better!!
having all donbe besides bolsters... |
I need to find a way to do rear seat if anyone has suggestions..
I used the seat from the baja I had just to get through summer, I am having XT custom make what I want, I am torn on keeping it flush with hull like factory or have it transition into the raised hatch that was built, as of now I think I am gonna keep it flush with hull... thius is only pic I have right now of exisiong setup... any suggestions?? I was gonna do hatch all white, but I think I am gonna have the colored bow stripes ran through the hatch now also... break it up a little.. http://i1276.photobucket.com/albums/...ps266c8a9f.jpg |
This is the only p[ic I have that shows the raised hatch/low seat issue... I dont want it to look stupid, I think flush seat is the way to go honestly then you just see raised hatch

I would do flush hatch with flush seat. Stripes going through the hatch would look cool. Clean look.
|
Actually no. I would not do stripes through the hatch. I would Cary the hull stripes up and over through the hatch like a couple bullets I have seen. That would look killer.

Yes exactly like that one J. Always loved that look.
|
On thing about doing it like that is the hot stripes I want as little color on hatch as possible... We spend lots of time on the sunpad... I don't want a lot of color
|
I would do the two down the center then. That would look cool . Or just plain white. Never go wrong with that.

The plan was to go all white at first... I dot want a ton of stitching to rip later... I plan to have this boat for a while...but my brother came up with the now stripe idea and I liked it since its not a lot of color

Force,
I would be really interested to see Dave's work. Either a trip down there or maybe a visit when you get it back. Let me know when you plan on going. I might move my boat this weekend but might be able to get away on Saturday. Thinking of taking my boat to Dave when I'm ready. I have plenty of time though....... |

Force, what style rear seat are you going with? Dave metioned to me that he could do the three seat set up like on the cig thats pictured on his web site.
|
i say high back look to kinda match the front and u like to run big water give the peeple in the back a little more eather whay it will be looking good this summer. cant wate to see it and keep the pics comein. and i would put the stripes on the hatch i cant stand mine being all white wish it had the blue zx in it hot or not just looks better to me.

See the lines on the bolster? Match the angle on the sides and make the backrest flush with the top of the hatch. Much cleaner finished off look... |
the back seat is going to come to the first line on hatch, hard to explain what we are looking to do...

Whatever fits more beer and women, I think that's a pretty solid strategy to follow, can be applied to other life situations.
|
get it done and sell it back to 2manyprojcts lol
|
It takes away from seating space but I like the step the 90`s Top Guns have on the rear bench, seems like a good idea instead of stepping directly on the cushion all the time

Here is my new "Hatch Patch" and back seat logo, just back from the Cig factory, but not installed on the boat yet... Raul @ CRT does fantastic work!
We're also adding a few "custom" touches, but I'm not letting that cat out of the bag.......yet. :D |
