Well finally got the other motor installed and aligned . Just a couple more mounting holes to drill , then we are ready to final rig and detail . Then we get to fire them up . Here is a picture of yesterday's results.

Well Friday afernoon I threw the boat in the water for a couple of short passes just to the seat the rings and shake it down. One water temp gauge and the oil temp gauges seem to be acting up , I am sure just wiring issues as they worked before I tore it down . Running my old 17X 25 four blades and the 3 inches of spacers gets up on plane betwen 2,500 and 3,000 rpm without allot of effort . My first impression with the notch it that it runs with a little more bow in the air attitude and reacts much quicker to trim . The one blast I attempted saw 4,700 rpm and 73 mph in dead calm water for only a few seconds ( still breaking in motors ) . I know props are wrong and my engine guy figures we are light on timing . The carbs need to be adjusted now that it is wet . I think there is at least 10 mile in this set up once we spend more that the 15 minutes I have spent so far .
