NICE. Looks real good.
|
The whole setup looks sick!
But I have to say, those fenders hanging down so far, especially in front of the forward axle worries me. If you drop all three axles off of a boat ramp you are going to do some serious damage to the fender. If it were me, I'd have them cut down shorter. |

I have been wet sanding, well dry sanding 800gt, 1000gt, 1500gt, 3000gt, the top half all day, fun:lolhit: I want to get the whole boat buffed out this weekend so I can mount the upper half SS hardware and the frame for the windscreen.... Pics of the windscreen frame I made, test fitted last night, than pulled it of this morning so I can wet sand the deck... |

Its been a few since I gave an update, Been doing paint touchups and redos, which I hate doing, all I got to say about it is, don't use 3ms double sided quick release foam pad on a Cig, to many 90degree angles on the older ones.....Also been working on mounting my water pickup from Teague, those guys are top notch, Adrian fixed me up and made a custom water pickup for me, its a work of art...then I shortened and put a slight angle, polished and mounted my Teague 450 switchable exhaust tips, ditched the mufflers, was going to go with dry exhaust but Maryland has been on the noise kick the last few years....and I also put the engine flush plate together, and started to put the top row of gauges together till I dropped one of the bezels and chipped the sh+t out of it....another paint redo:lolhit: Oh I put a before pic of the stern, notice I got rid of the ski hook:evilb:

Well its been over a month without any photos so here's a few pics of what I've been working on, console and wiring, windscreen, and forward hatches... Kind of went crazy with the bolts that hold the Plexiglas on my homemade windscreen, oh well it's not going to blow off, I think I'm going to paint the bottom of the plexiglas windscreen yellow, I thought the yellow frame would show up better through the Plexiglas, also the little shocks that hold up the forward hatches lasted one, opening and closing before 3 of them blew out, and they were brand new...got to buy the ones that got the guarantee on them LoL....the motors are ready to get dynoed by someone, just don't who yet, thinking Richie Zul, maybe Nickerson, can anyone recommend some other options or what they think about the 2 I picked, I'm in the Mid Atlantic area, don't mined traveling...so any help would be appreciated...

Here's few updates on my project, finally got the cabin and the cockpit, together, had to put a new headliner and side vinyl in the cabin, I also painted all the switch, radio, hatch surrounds to match the outside, the seats and cockpit panels were in great shape just need a good cleaning, I was going to redo the interior but just couldn't justify doing it, like I said they were in great shape, I did recover the hatch pad, and switched the cabin oval with the sun pad oval, the cabin oval was perfect, so now its on the sun pad. Hey she's just a little cover girl cabin and doesn't have all the amenity's of home but think it turned out pretty good.. I still got some wiring to do, stereo, GPS, tachs, and gps speedo...wiring is not my strong point, but i will get it worked out.. Going to try to work on it through out the winter, got some things to do to the motors and drives, the bilge needs the pumps and hoses installed, sea strainers and water lines, fuel lines....come on spring...
