it happened to me twice!!! once I had a deposit, the other I did not...

was pissed big time, but time told me 2 things! first one blew the engines in less than 5 hours, second had rotten transom, stringer and hull bottom in engine compartment...

so in the end, I was lucky they were sold to other before me!!

who knows exactly in this case...

You can still make this right by offering it to Full Whack for the same price. Everyone on this forum will use you as an example of how to make a wrong right!
I bought a boat that i was in contact with the seller long before FW made a deposit. Its not like i saw this post, looked up the boat and went and bought it... i actually only saw this thread when i came back the first time from looking at the boat. the seller told me he didnt want to deal with FW sending a surveyor and not even looking at it himself and i had cash in my truck, look, alot of yall i can tell are against a young guy like myself getting into buying and selling powerboats, but like many things, if you dont take each and everyone getting into a sport that you love, where will the sport (or hobby) be in the next generation? Quite frankly, there were other boats i was looking at, but with all the **** ive taken from tossing ideas around and being shot down for them. I bought this boat to resto it and shut a lot of you up on saying im over my head, or i dont know what im doing, etc. I bet if apple told the web (that didnt exist) on in detail what they wanted to do, im sure apple wouldnt be what it is. Or engine builders offering classes on building powerful motors, they wouldnt be in business, alot of members on here i am sure are business owners and understand how business works whether or not anyone thinks it can be done or not. cool if people think it cant be done, awesome, sit back and watch me "fail".

Full Wack, look man, its nothing personal, obviously. i dont want you or anyone on here to think im a sly person, i was in contact with the seller before you, you sent a deposit but i still had cash and drove 6 hrs with cash to look at it. ive had many trucks and toys bought right out from under me sometimes while i was at the bank taking out the loan for my first truck i got the call from sellers. i know how it feels. If you want the boat PM me maybe we can work something out. Boat is thawing out in my shop ATM and will be stripped down pretty soon once i figure out my direction. reading from what you said, i think it was a little much though for you with all due respect... there are alot of little things with this boat that take glass work knowledge. this boat is not just in need of interior. paint is past buffing, motors need to be cleaned, bilge needs straightening up and repaint, not to mention the interior is fully destroyed. i understand your upset, but i guess, im asking for everyone to back off. All i got from being on here is that im full of ****, wasting peoples time, i dont have cash, my idea wont work etc. so i buy a boat to show what i can do and i get **** for doing that now as well. Anyways, its a forum, and im sure you all will, but, carry on speaking what you will.

I still wanna see a restoration on a cafe they turns a profit, besides parting it out.... seen some real nice cafes sitting for sale that owners put lots of money into... dont forget to add $ to your own hours spent.... maybe I am wrong, but not normally...if the boat is a bad as you make it sound it will add up fast...

Ill be posting a thread in time. This boat is really not much to turn a huge profit because if I was hoping for a decent profit it wouldn't be there with what I paid... Mostly was to build it to shut up a lot of people and show what I can do.. And it all depends on to what extent you build them. Obv if I put 30k worth of motors in it I wouldn't make anything. I guess, idk it's just something I've always done, you need to find a fine line between no expense spared, and getting the best bang for your buck.. And at this point no, if I do all my own work I don't add my time, time is therapy and we all know that. What I would make in profit is my bottom line vs what I sell for..

Still no check in the mail, so for potential future legal reasons I will be keeping my thoughts and comments to myself until further notice.. This whole situation is infuriating, and discouraging. My only hope is that everything happens for a reason and I dodged a bullet..

well when you are doing something for yourself, time is no objct, but doing something to make money, time is calculated, why work for free...?? and what I have read elsewhere this should be interesting to watch, 6 years doing glass work and guys doing it 30 years, I will go with how they say to do it.... I read a few things that would keep me from buying the "restored" boat after you redo it...

Well, it looks like the seller is a dirt bag and being a OSO member means nothing these days. At one time, people on this site worked together and helped each other out. That being said, I would take a look at the Lake Winni Café. If it has been a freshwater/lift kept boat since new, there will be no comparison and you will have much better results in the long run.

Dmax315 is a dick and the seller is horrible. Bad business all the way around. I wouldn't deal with either personally

I feel like there was a time on OSO where guys like DMax wouldn't be allowed to continue "contributing" to this website after pulling a stunt like this.

Full whack - it will work out for you man. Look forward to having you in the cig clan
