Just saying you won't like me if I have to come and get my own pictures...promise that, but most people don't like me anyhow. Oh by the way this project ends in Mar, but I have got to come back for months to come...months. I can adjust my travel...if I have to...and you won't like me if I have to adjust my travel.... Not a threat. Hope things keep moving along great. Can't wait for more pictures.

Lol!!! I can appreciate the subtlety in your reply. :)

I swear on all things holy I have no more pics to post. I could draw some if you want me to? :) If I had possession of her I would go take a picture of anything you guys wanted me to. She is about 4 hours away from me in Osage Beach, MO at the upholstery shop. I'm REALLY hoping he shares some teaser pics with me sometime this week too. Trust me, I'd love to see more pics just as bad as you.

That being said, if you are still wanting to make that drive, you could drive up there and get some pics for both of us. :thankyouthankyou:

I'm beginning to think I've spoiled you guys.

Rebar's Cig is winterized and asleep in my shop. I guess we can take my son's center console with an outboard. Somebody should just buy a Cig with and outboard and then this problem will not arise again!!

Sorry about the cancelled flight. I heard it was going to be really rough down there... what is Atlanta expecting another 1/2 - 1" of snow?:fear:

yschmidt 02-13-2014 06:05 AM

All joking aside...I was joking, but I know how you feel. I locked mine away after a bad experience for about a year, and when I finally decided to get her back together she is was 5-6 hrs away - couple that with working 3-4 weeks at a time then flying halfway across country to get home, so I can turn around and fly down for a weekend to work on it and be back to work in 3 days really sucks. Anyway I know how it feels to not have it available when you want. Oh yeah and my truck got stolen twice this last summer. That didn't help.

Got four pics from Waves and Wheels today.

Look closely at the third pic and you can see the arm rest and step pad pieces that Vincent made for us.

Black dash isn't set in stone yet. Still gonna explore trying to get it done. Either way, I don't need the boat to make you look like poo poo. :helmet:

Fantastic Job!! Extremely well done. The 30 is a great size boat and you have done an amazing job bringing new life to a classic!

Buck, I still haven't got my fill yet...it's still several weeks before I can go get to work on mine. MORE PICTURES!! I still need more ideas to steal!

The bad news......I don't have anymore pics in my arsenal right now to post.

The good news......The boat is now in my possession. Once the weather clears out down here I'll move it up to my shop so I can uncover it and take all the pics you want. :)

yschmidt 03-04-2014 05:10 PM

Congratulations on getting it back, now I'm really jealous. Looking forward to more pics.

Looks very nice. Love to view posts like this where boat is rebuilt. Looking forward to more progress pics.

hop116 03-18-2014 02:47 PM

Would you mind emailing me some pics of it? I am restoring a 73 28ss and am always looking for ideas for mine. What motors and drives were on it ? How fast did it run? Love the looks of your old boat. [email protected] If you do not mind. Thanks!

Be more than happy to. Give me a couple days to get them rounded up for you. Crazy schedule for the next couple of evenings.

Had 350 mags in it that were MPIs. Bravo 1s for drives. Top speed right at 65 mph all day every day. Fun boat to drive. Will miss it.

No sir. If I wasn't going to be out of town I'd be there. Heard it's quite the deal.

Taking two wounded vets hunting in Texas at our lease this weekend. We do two trips a year for these guys. This weekend is our spring trip.

Drake, one of the guys we took this time was a CPL in the USMC. 25-27 years old. He was a roof gunner on a MRAP. They drove over a 200+ lb IED that detonated. Driver and another passenger didn't make it. The MRAP was blown about 25' in the air. Jonathan, our guy, was thrown over 60 meters from the vehicle. Was considered dead at the time. Long story short, he's a double amputee below both knees. Great guy.

Other guy is a detective for a Sheriff's dept in North Carolina. Suffered from PTSD regularly due to dealing with lots of domestic violence in his job.

I'll have pics in a week or two. Having them color processed and adding logos to them now. I'll start an appropriate thread when I get them back.

Misunderstood me, what where you hunting? Everything is closed here in Michigan I can only chase coyotes now. I can't start to understand what hell they have been through and respect you for reaching out to them. We need to be there for them.

Apologies.

Mainly pigs. We could have hunted coyote if we wanted to but never did. Ended up with 8 pigs confirmed with a couple more running around dying from lead poisoning.

Where are you hunting in TX. My boss has a place out in Spur, but now after working here for the last couple years I get lots if invites - I just want to go home after being abused here for such long periods.

Step plates for bolsters. Basically the pads you stand on.
