My thread for my boat is in restoration section, fell free to go post your opinion on it that's what the thread is for. And I know how much money I have in my boat and with all the work I did and I could never get my money back if I sold it or part it out. And I don't have a shop to pay for.

Phil,

I haven't seen all of this thread or even your 100% plans, but just my opinion since I recently picked up an 89 Bullet; there were certain things I looked for when buying. Redone dash because the old style is hideous. Newer style steering wheel. Controls weren't as big of a deal, but preferred newer controls. Mine still has the old cloth cabin and its clean so I was fine with it, but it will not be staying. I am only mentioning a couple things that I saw others comment on, but a newer dash would definitely go far with a redone boat. Maybe thats part of your final plan... Good luck with everything..

I was thinking the same thing until I saw pics of a new Outerlimits with the very same red patterned design.

Opinions vary regarding how much to modernize and how much to keep classic I guess.

Have seen lots of new boats and redo's with it lately. Even center consoles. It's a timeless look if done right. Think it looks great adds a bit of pop to plain interiors. The old tuck and roll is old school, but it also has it's place.

Quit bashing on the guy. I was his age when I came on here and still not much older. May not have had the same way of doing things but give him a break. OSO has a wealth of knolage it and would be a shame if younger people in the sport got turned away by the bs on here some times. You forget not many new boats go fasts are being made these days so letting the younger guys in is very important. I get very excited when I get to sign up youger people at my poker run. Show there is still hope for years to come. Give him a break the boat looks good. May not be what you would have done or what you like. Same goes with my build Thead and every other one on here. To each their own!
