I would strongly agree with this statement. The 46 is a kick-azz boat on the open water, but unlike the TG, it's not something you want to routinely take out without at least one other (strong and/or handy) person on-board... especially if you're trailering it or will be spending much time around congested docks.

Strange. I have not even had a loose screw with my rub rails.

I think there are only two 46's w/1350's. The AMG and Instigator. I could be wrong, there might be another one. Think the AMG is overseas.? Either way, my good friend owns Instigator, that's the 46 that is blue, orange, yellow with flames. I have been in the boat a lot of times and traveled from Miami to KW two years ago on it. It's amazing to say the least! He has had zero issues with the hull or the deck. The motors have some hours on them now and are still running great also!

Maybe other 46's have difffetent stringer layout than his.? I think Cigarette has been pushing the 50 Marauder since they have released it. Not many 46's built the last couple years. If I remember right the owner told me it is the only 46 in the country w/1350's since the AMG went overseas. Again I could be mistaking but I don't think so.

I love AMII!! It's a beautiful Cig. The 1075's are the downfall. If I had the coin, I'd buy it, strip all the cables and wires and re-rig with 1100's and keep the 6's on the back. Saves money and now a brand new bad ass boat with reliable power.

People the 1100's do not mean maintenance free. The rebuild cost of 100's and 1350's is around 50k each and so far can only be done by mercury. 1075's can be done by most engine builders and only need routine valve adjustment then top ends done around 100+ hours. Major rebuild is about 1/3 of a 1100/1350 from outside source and less than half at mercury. Ask around about people with time on 1350's and how many turbo issues they have had.

Geez, this site is amusing and sometimes annoying.

Ok, first thanks Wild for chiming in and alerting me to the thread. This is my boat and I bought it from LipShip in Feb. As I understand it, when it lived in OH the failures were ultimately only due to the mechanic(s) working on it. It had tranny issues that were solved as soon as TNT worked on it. Between Philly and TNT they had this boat dialed in perfect before I had it to brought to MO. You get what you pay for with TNT and Philly....you want it done right, take it to the right people.

The previous owner, Tim I believe, had lots of work done to it (trampoline repair, portions of interior, stereo, the speaker wiring redone, new touchscreen Garmins (and on and on) and the when he went to KW in Nov the CMI's leaked on the plug in motor and it hydro locked. Tim, you can jump in and correct me, but then Philly had the motor rebuilt from crank up and put Stainless Marine manifolds and full exhaust on it with 5 year warranty. I bought it and had Philly do speakers, wind screen, new interior panels, carpeting, LED lights in the cabin and LED Nav lights. We went as far as shaving the water pickups to gain speed and increase water pressure. We had guy from Cig factory do the stereo speaker wiring and another factory guy do paint touchups before it left North Miami. I'd say between Tim and I this boat had close to $80k put into it since Nov.

As Wild said, we get bored with boats. 4 boats in 6 years for me and each and every one I have gotten to where it's near perfect, then I sell it. The 1075's have been flawless for me. 20 hours on it at LOTO and I have changed the oil twice, valve lash adjustment, starter solenoid and some toggles switches on the dash all done by Nauti Marine not Billy Bobs Marina. I'm going a different route. Talked to Phil about building a 39GTS and have been looking at 46OL's. The whole point of this is that the boat is in great shape - I'm not selling due to too big to take out by myself (I do almost every weekend), too many costs to repair, nor 1075's are downfall, not rub rail popping from boat flexing or any other comments that don't apply to this boat. Sure 1100's and 1350's would be nice if you want that power and boat priced out of its market. I obviously do not hold onto to stuff that long to get my monies worth for the turbo's.

The next buyer will, as I did, buy the bought on the high side. The paint is fantastic, it runs flawlessly and looks like it just a few years old.

When JB sold the boat from Ohio it was perfect then, that I do know.... the rubrail did pop at least once I know of... JB spared no cost to make the boat a great boat, after he sold it who knows, looks great then, still does now.....

My friend Mike, who runs my corporations and myself actually went in on this boat. We sold the two that we had and picked this up. Yes we did sink a bunch of coin into it more than I care to talk about on here. The tails and mufflers leaked, that's why it got the new exhaust system. The one trip to Key West when it broke down was actually a valve that broke. Tom that owns the Top Gun Hot For Teacher was driving. We were planning on rebuilding the motors after that trip when we got it back to Cali but decided that this boat wasn't for us and had Phil rebuild the broken engine and sell the boat. So our plans changed, we sold it and moved on. As far as any bow screws coming undone, never heard of that or had any issues with it. If anyone is serious about buying one, this one has a bunch of upgrades and a lot of time and money into it. There's no better looking one out there.. Period.. And theres only a couple of more that are for sale and have been for years, for obvious reasons. I think this is the best priced one on the market right now.
