High dollar maintanence. I know the guy that owned it last was over the maintanence.

Someone needs to do the right thing and drop 1350/8's in it and be done. :D

The problem is the 1350's is a major redo and I wouldn't trust the hull strength with the extra speed and power. The 1075's provided to much flex when running some moderate waves. I think without an extra stringer and thicker/stronger construction the stringers would fail. Just my insight.

You would know. You owned it and worked on it long enough.

The 46 is a great Poker Run and rough water boat. But not very practical for everyday use as you cannot really take it out by yourself due to its size. The power is nice but there is still a lot of maintenance along with fuel costs.I never understood the cabin arrangement on this boat. Looks like a troop carrier with those side facing seats for 8.

Agreed! And nothing beats the 90's cig cabin...usable, user friendly cabin!

my business partner owns it now and has had a great time with it this summer, he takes it out by himself all the time - he is moving in different direction now - we both get board with stuff fast and keep mixing it up, this is his 4th boat in 6yrs - LipShip and TNT have the boat running perfect now - the new owner will love it - Steve has had no problems with it since Phil and TNT went completely through it

All I can say is, not a fan of 1075's... It should be dialed, it's had enough money sunk into it.

I wonder if yours had a different stringer layup/design than mine has. Mine does not exhibit any noticeable hull flex at high speeds or in big water. The deck does flex a little towards the center since it isn't ribbed (like the TG), but the hull is solid as a rock. I know they have done 1350/8's in multiple 46's and based on the pictures I've seen of those boats, they have the same stringer layout as my 46 does. Is it possible AM II has a different layout or that it has a compromised stringer(s) that might have visually gone unnoticed??? I'm not suggesting there's anything wrong with AM II, I'm just saying I have not experienced hull flexing at all with my 46... nor have I heard of any issues with the 46's with 1350's.

The rub rails would pop out. That was running 90 in 4-5's. I thought if I ever built a 46 with 1350's it would have to be stronger.
