Default Cafe AC installation pics?

Hi!

I've been toying with installing AC on the Cafe. I know there are some out there with it already installed, does anyone have any pictures of the system?

Has anyone done the install themselves? If so, any hints? What brand/size did you use?

Thanks!

I used a 7000 Cruisair in the Mistress, not hard to install, the cafe has more places to hide stuff then mine, buy a good water pump and T off sea strainer then you dont have to drill hull for another hole...

dont waste money on install kit, most parts can be bought at Home Depot.

I put air/heat in the tiger last winter definitely made staying on it more comfortable, bought the Webasto but be careful on the sizing because their units are rated differently ...their 6000 is the same as others 9000, call the tech line for help. Here are some pictures of mine after install.

And how much did you spend to buy and install it?

I think I had $1400-$1500 into the whole thing, I bought a used sea strainer from the swap shop and shopped for all the other parts. I bought matching liner for the closet and mounted the unit high so I could still use the closet and access the water pump, it also made it easier to duct and run water lines.

Thanks! I don't have that closet on the Cafe.

I did a search here for some Cafe install pics, and there are a few threads, but the pics are gone. I'm guessing those were linked pictures.

Skramer is looking to see if he still has pics of his install.

I called down and talked to Phil at Lip-Ship, he was so willing to offer advice and send pictures of installs, a true class act

I found the thread I posted them on but the pictures are gone. I'll have to take new pictures.

Yeah, I had found the thread as well, but as you said, the pics are gone. Bummer, I was hopping you wouldn't have to take new ones.

Thanks Flamingo, good idea, I will ping Phil too.
