45 maximus
#11
I was on it a few times back in the day when Bill Proctor and Harry Judge had it built for their dealership in Maryland. It's a bad Mama Jama. They moved the controls around a few times when it was new as the ergonomics just were not right. Last time I saw it down in Key West it looked spectacular.
Comparing it to an Apache, the main difference is you are sitting in the boat vs. standing. That's a lot of personal preference on how you like it in rough water. I've never been out on it in the rough. Due to the relatively low freeboard, compared to an Apache or other, you will have more wind in your face on this Maximus. The other couple of 45 Maximus boats have had more "Gladiator-like" cockpits. This one here is one-of-a-kind.
Picture of the 2nd version of the interior, back when it was new. This was after they moved the controls once:
This one used to be Rio Roses.

This one is kin to both of them:

Correct. Tom Abraham had Phil build it out of rio roses (the roof of rio roses is hanging from the roof at Lipship), It was the first Maximus. Then Phil built a second one for himself but Rick bought it (big max). Then the center streer then performance group then the white one with flames. That's all that were built.

And just because it might get confused in with the Maximus boats: the Kilo boat, then Strength and Honor, now redone in flat black and often seen in Ft. Lauderdale:

Do I have that right Tank?
I've always liked the sit down Cigarettes.

...which was the Skater V-bottom (at 39-ish feet) with that was finished/rigged with a Cigarette interior and amenities.
Don't confuse the issue!
(kidding)I am certain Tank can confirm, but all the pictures in post 16 are the SAME boat with 3 makeovers. And it was laid up by Skater originally when Cigarette made the kilo run. Last I saw/knew, it was being maintained by Pat Sullivan for one of his customers at www.outdrives.com.
