Default 45 maximus

http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o59797-en.htmlis this boat basically a 45ft gladiator? the boat in the classifieds is beautiful but I've never looked at another one. I'm assuming we're talking awesome rough water ride...? what's the top speed on a rig like that?

everytime I find the boat I think I want another pops up... lol what is the advantage of this compared to the 41 apache tonto? besides being newer?

thanks.

With the Maximus you can have the chicks sit in front of you on either side and you can get a great jiggle side shot..

I believe it's the same bottom as a rough rider, cut down to be a sit down.

A 45 Maximus is basically a 46 Rough Rider with a cut down deck and a sitdown cockpit. The boat in question has beautiful paint, it's a very sharp looking hull. IIIRC it's the only one they made with a cabin, but the access to the cabin is literally under the drivers 'pod' the entire thing (dash and all) lifts up to gain access to it. It's a very 'unique' setup with equally 'unique' seating arrangement in the cockpit, there's a reason they only made one like it...

The boat in question should run a little over a 100 everyday, under perfect conditions and a light load, maybe 110?

Kind of hard to compare a sitdown 45 Max to a stand-up flat bottom boat that's a lot older and 4'+ feet shorter.

I also noticed that the engine compartment and cockpit in that boat is pushed further forward than it is in my 46 RR. I'm not sure if all the 45 Max's are that way or not.

Lipships almost done re-doing "Big Max", Rick (onesickgladiators) old Maximus. I had a chance to see it a couple weeks ago at Phil's shop. It's going to be Siiiiiick. Nearly done. Twin merc turbo 1100's. Things basically rebuilt from the stronger up and is drop dead gorgeous. I have pics but can't post.

Yep the boats at brand x. Mike has spent a ton on the boat this past year with a truck to match it. See if I can get some pic of the center pod up.
