Default Konrads on a TopGun

Been looking hard at a 96' Top Gun. 525sc with Bravos all original

Would consider doing a Konrad swap instead of upgrading the bravos as I would be putting 750HP motors in it right off the bat.

If I did the Konrads would it be good to mount them right on the transom and move the motors forward or do I need to go with the Ace boxes.

If I use the Ace boxes do I need -2 lowers.

The Snow ball starts rolling from here.

Personally I would move the engines up and forward, instead of the ace box. But why not just go with scx's or bmax drives? If you're willing to go through the whole rerig, have you looked into putting 5's or 6's? Arnesons?i think konrads are a good option for upgrading a trs boat, but I think there may be better options for you.

We have the Konrad PRS III conversion with no boxes, boat rides and handles great. We are running 900hp through them with no problems so far. I am going to run another season or so with them but eventually switch to number 6's with huge power!!

This is our boat on Konrads website after the conversion.

To be honest with 750hp I would swap to big shaft IMCO SCX drives and go boating!!

Just an fyi, im doing a whipple scx upgrade to my tiger, once you sit down and price everything out the scx isnt as expensive as most would think. I'm doing complete new imco transom assemblies, helmet and scx uppers. I've weighed out all the options and this made the most sense for performance and budget wise.
