There may be a reason for them leaving the ridges in there and maybe there isn't.
Can't always go by looks.
BTW: On one of my spacers I was getting some fuel distribution issues, that by having deeper cnc ridges vs polished, help'd out a lot. Couldn't believe it , but at the same time, I could. If you know what I mean.
Anyway, again, can be there for cost cutting reasons, or better performance reasons, or....doesn't influence anything.
You can only tell by strict testing.

Remember everyone "ported and polished" intake runners. It turned out the fuel liked to stick to the runners. Leave them rougher, a little turbulence keeps it flowing instead of evaporating on the walls of the runners. Maybe they have a theory there....??

Once an atomized air/fuel mixture hits a smooth surface it will turn to liquid (droplets) again. Liquid does not burn as easily. The rough surface keeps the fuel atomized.
That being said mine are as smooth as a babys bottom.
