It would be interesting to put a camera in the chambers and do a side by side test along with comparative Dyno statistics to get to the bottom of the theories.

Don't think you could go wrong either way. AFR makes a great product. What are the differences in chamber design in a boosted vs. NA setup if any? Can you get away with more in a boosted setup whereas an NA setup is a little more sensitive to "tweaks" or refinement?

The concept of CNC "chamber porting", is about improving airflow , mainly at lower and mod lift numbers. As well as providing a possibly better "swirl"within the chamber.
"Polishing" the chambers was what many did with as cast heads, esp with supercharging , to eliminate hot spots in the chamber that could possibly induce detonation.
Some used to polish piston tops to a mirror finish. They thought it would be better for reflecting heat off the piston . turned out that was a farce, and they actually found a rougher surface allowing carbon to coat the piston, resulted in a cooler running piston.
The finish of the surface after the cutting tool, IE, shiny vs dull, is not a testament to the quality or performance of the cylinder head in my opinion.

Yea I am sure any Cnc name brand head is a good choice, comparing to pro comp I can for sure say the afr is heavier that proves the "cheap casting" to be true in a pro comp
