You just dont get it, your shop let you blow up your engines.... Instead of steering you in the right direction.

Lets wait for the repower #3 since you have it all figgured out!

The burden of final checks for fitment is on the assembler!

The shop didn't get paid to set up the lifter bores or assemble the engine. If they did, this would have been taken care of. Shops only do the work the customer requests and pays for.

New Dart blocks and nobody honed the lifter bores. And you're saying this shop let him build them that way. WOW that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of... And this awesome shop didnt tell you the bores come tight from Dart and need to be honed????

I don't need a pissing match here...

The shop doesn't have jurisdiction over what someone does with their stuff.

The assembler is the final set of eyes and hands on the pieces as they go together. Final checking of fitment is part of that job. (Not a slam on you whatsoever Tim.)

You and I don't know what all was discussed at the shop as we were not there.

Tim is not upset with his machinist, so why start bad rapping him?

Sorry for the detail Tim. :hitfan:

Would any of this been caught during a Dyno session? Genuine question. We found some things on my engines that saved me an engine.

It's fine, it's not Rays fault.

It's not like I don't feel like chit as it is, a failure, and out thousands with no boat, yes I made mistakes I will deal with it, if I had the extra cash to afford to have ray do it all I would, we are not 100% convinced it was lifter bored per chief engineer at Johnson so why bash on me and machinist? Johnson lifter is going to help me resolve that possibility and tey don't have to, now that's service.... I am not a newbie at this, and I am also not a professional, a mistake happened andnout will be fixed...

Wishing me a rebuild 3 thread sure is positive support... Go ahead though... I can take it... Just trying to avoid the bs and stick to help and facts.

All depends sonetines, inwill gladly dyno if anyone has the free dyno or cash to pay for it...still breaks on a dyno if it breaks, so what's that really matter besides taking engine in and out?
