Duration is small for that motor.
Haven't seen cam specs like that on boat motors. From all stuff I've read it's either more lift on exhaust or same on both. With that small of duration I bet it does Peter out at 5100. I'd bet you could do .663 .663 with 256 262 duration on 114 and it would come alive. |

I see you have another thread going for the possibility of an ignition issue. Can you grab a small set of props and take it out to see if you climb over that 5200 RPM wall? That would rule that out. If it still drops off at 5200 then you may have another issue than the motors just making less power than expected. There is so much new in these engines you have a lot to verify before just throwing your hands up and saying they just don't make the power you hoped. Hell, make sure the throttles are opening all the way, you wouldn't be the first guy to have that happen. The devil is in the details, double check all of them again.
If you are correct and and they just aren't making the power you expected try having the props worked to reduce slip and bring your RPM up, you wouldn't give up your cruise speed that way. |
Ignition verified last night ok with timing light
I have full throttle checked that too Really not much more to it at this point lol Plus note... Went on trailer running great after 3 hours and 50 plus gallons of WOT haha |

With your cubes and AFR heads low end, mid range, and top end (upper 5k's) should work extremely well. |
