I was at 78.6 mph with 540's spinning 4 blade 28's at 5300. I could have hit 80 with labbing and running 5500 rpm. I made 675 and 680 on the dyno. I had the konrads. It was a 1985 mistress.

As upset as I was last night the more you think and look at it all starts to make sense... Compare apples to apples and see what other mistress's do not many broke 70 mph as it is even with higher konrads and such still only go 72-73 from what I found.... I needed more low end grunt I think to push this boat to get to 5800-6000 range with these props and it's just not there at 5-5400 rpm ... I bet at that rpm I am at 600-620 hp max and the speeds are right on with that... I don't need a dyno to figure this out... GPS and rpm tell me everything I need to know

That will work very well.

With your cubes and AFR heads low end, mid range, and top end (upper 5k's) should work extremely well.

I am going on vacation won't boat until end of July I am gonna put 23 mirage on and see what extra Rpm does

If i recall his boat had afr 315 heads, and a off the shelf crane 741 cam. Built many years ago by fast times motorworks here in illinois. I remember the build.

Those were the initial pulls, we changed the Jets and Tuned everything. I worked the props when I had the TRS, they were mirage 27s. With the TRS I was spinning 5100. With the Konrads I spun 28 4 blades stock at 5400.

Could have done more. Could have worked props to hit 80..... But why. Sold it at that time, and bought the white Gun I had for 5 seasons.

What speeds did you see at 5100 and TRS?

I am not really concerned with hitting 80, would have been nice to see a solid 74-75, I don't see why it's not making enough at low rpm if you did, cam must be that key there for sure
