Oghhh, new Chief 1150, whipple 8.3 liter blower, 588 ci, motors now, into the boat they go. The dang props were to big, so this was the answer...

It's very tight in there, the new coolers are longer, rear Eng alternator just does clear.

Zero, Can you PM me the approx. cost of the whipple package? (2x blowers, inter-coolers, pulleys)
Also; what size blowers did you have before, and what carbs were you running? Is this tuned for 93 octane? |

ZP, as usual is being too modest. With the new more efficient coolers, the port engine hit the sea strainer and could not be lowered into position. Soooo, he removed the strainer, cut the bracket apart, fabricated a new bracket, re-welded it and had it back in the boat in about 30 minutes!! Both engines are in now and we are about to re-install the exhaust. Should have test results soon. [ATTACH=CONFIG]552118[/ATTACH] |
