Did you guys test any 18 degree rake?

I believe he had them redone and added prochargers .

Zero,

Are there any advantages when running the whipples in relation to octane ratings? I would assume that detonation has more to do with the cylinder head design and hotspots inside the engine/combustion chamber/ cylinder (also a relation to intake temps).?

I.E. - "I can safely make 50 more hp at the same octane rating, compression ratio, # of static boost with the Whipples". Or maybe is it that they are just more efficient therefore yielding a better average horsepower under the curve, and possibly a higher peak. Or can you actually run additional/more boost everything else being equal. Does my question make sense?

(I may have answered my own dumb question....)

Wow, we leave that stuff to Chief Engines, Tommy has always built us engines that run like a Rolex. For hundreds of hours, 436 on my last pair of blower motors. He makes the decisions, we ask the questions.

New engines by Dave at WESCO...1200hp's with M4 ProChargers...pump gas with BOOSTANE. Turning 4 blade 34's on sixes. Close to the same set up as when Craig had it.

^^^^ How many hours on them things now? Thought you threw a rod first time out, what was the issue if you don`t mind me asking?
Btw, how do you like that BOOOSTANE stuff?

Catastrophic part failure did occur - brand new valve broke, big time, after only 3 hours runtime. Exploded a new $$$ motor. Hoping the valve brand steps up and makes it right with Dave - the valve head literally just broke off....3800 rpm @ 70mph cruisin' when it broke.

BOOSTANE is incredible - I'll never run my boat without it again. Using one can per 100gal w/93 octane. Cheap insurance - it's not so much about getting a boost in octane level for me as it is treating the fuel in case you get crap gas somewhere...I know how that movie ends from years past also:lolhit:

That boat was always a solid runner, even with the n/a 850s it was an 87 mph ride. I agree on boostane, i have it for the same reason, just insurance on the water when filling up. I do 2 cans per side, when buying gas on the water. One if i fill up on land.

Whats the difference in the premium & professional BOOSTane?

shepnic74 04-07-2016 07:45 AM

Look at Iced's avatar think she's been running booty boostane!!!
