Cigarette adventure part ???

3 or 4 I forget ..

Leaky gas tanks had to go. New ones are shorter and have less capacity but for the boating we do 75 gallons each is plenty for me.
Maybe it`s just me (only 40 miles logged last weekend ) but the boat feels 'lighter and sportier' with less porpoise now that the fuel weight isn`t under the dash.
Sonic 700 built me a sweet floor .better than original, super strudy, then I had everything wrapped in 1/8 glass.

Moved starboard fuel fill to port side ( one of my favorite mods) so nice not to have to drag the the hose over the seats anymore.

"Sprinkler Stellings" while they had a huge bling factor they had to go.

Had the stainless marine Gen III went in.
02`s now do not get wet anymore, and reversion is gone.
(dry with just a 1/4" hole at the end to keep mufflers from turning blue)

Hydrodipped carbon fiber.

I know if you replace both tanks with factory 125 gallon tanks the floor and bulk head need to be cut. My question is with the 75 gallon tanks do both the floor and bulk head still need to be cut? For fellow vintage cigarette owners including myself it might be worth knowing if going to a smaller tank reduces cutting and repair work down the road. I'd venture a guess that the old tanks could be cut into pieces to remove. Just a question if the smaller tanks will fit in the opening?

Doing the same thing! I'm going to Put Stainless Marine on and will never worry about exhaust again. Look sweet in carbon I thought about doing that to match my air lids!

ICDEDPPL 07-06-2015 10:36 PM

Finally some tunes, 3 amps on switches and speakers for the TV in the cudy. Adding 3rd battery and isolator to run the amps.

Back seat made a nice workbench for dock carb tuning.

Cool interior. Love the carbon fiber manifolds.

ICDEDPPL 08-27-2015 10:08 PM

After 10 months I pulled the back seat from that dik bag and took it elsewhere. Took them 2 weeks to get it done.
Came out exactly how I envisioned, very happy.

Now the kids should feel more secure.

That's awesome Dan, good eye for design and layout, bravo.

You shouldn't have any problem selling that boat for $.50/$1.00 (I really mean that, it looks great! Don't let the wife read that last part)

Rick G 08-28-2015 08:31 AM

frickstyle 08-28-2015 09:44 AM

Do the handles snap in or slide in and are held by friction/leverage? Curious, I thought about doing something like that for the middle passenger.

I`ve got a 7/16 threaded rod with that goes all the way thru to the bottom of the seat.
