I am thinking of staggering my 38 flat deck. I am capable of doing all the work myself from fiberglass to rigging. The part that is holding me up is the cost despite the ability to do the work. To do it right you would need stand off boxes , exhaust , transmissions ( different for drive line )drive shafts fuel tanks cockpit interior hydraulics and wiring and that list is quick idea of the bigger items . I figure that list is at least 35 to 50 k . So even if you buy the boat for 25 k be ready to drop at least 50 to 100 k to stagger that deal and that is if you keep the old ssm3 drives for 5 drives add 25 k . You would be much farther ahead buying the the staggered 90 MPH turn key top gun that was listed for 115 k ( probably had for 95 to 100 k )
Don't get me wrong I love this hull and actually tried to buy it before my flat deck. If you buy this boat restore it and enjoy it in its current setup or be prepared to be way upside down in a very cool staggered wide body
Just my two cents .

Heard back from Gil. This was his boat not Eickerts, although Keith did build the engines way back when. He recalls selling it in 88-89 to someone named Finngold or something like it. K.Eickerts brother owned a sister ship to this one that is on the west side of Cleve now. That's all

Yeah I saw that in the ad, but I believe the o.p. said the seller mentioned Eickert so I got some clarification.
