Default 35 Mistress repower... take 3....

So as most know I have yet to be happy with my builds and found some issues that are causing me to replace cams and do headwork... changing a few other things..overall had a problem free 65 hours on engines but seen wear on cams so I tore things apart..

The parts choices and specs are in a good buddys hands that has mad much success the past 20 years of building, hoping for better results this round as he has never let anyone down on expectations..

The plans include:
existing shortblocks untouched.
Hand port and cleanup of the AFR 325 heads, new valve jobs and new springs, flow heads get real numbers
Port and portmatch new Brodix HV2000 intakes
send old cams back to get replacements and specs TBD still
either going to short travel hydraulic or solid roller this time to get better results that is also TBD
selling Scorpion rockers and going to use Comp or Crower as I can get good pricing
Hoping if I stay HRC I can keep base circle the same and reuse my expensive Trend pushrods.
same carbs 1050 Quickfuel 4150 style
might convert exhaust to dry or find headers that me be following winter of 2017 as this cost is going to add up..

As for results? I would be happy to see at least 1 mph gain over what I had... plan to dyno again if the funds are there to do so... this is my last attempt at this to be what I wanted from beginning... I hope it's worth it since I am fed up with my build situation..

first pic of nice parts lol

I would imagine if the new cam has similar lift to the old the base circle should stay relatively close to the same so hopefully you can reuse the pushrods. I sincerely hope you get the results you would like this time around, it seems like you are on the right track. Good luck!

Thx, I am using a buddy that builds engines with much success to do the work to heads and spec cams, not a salesman lol

I think lift may be similar to keep BC but duration I expect increase a bit for sure.

this nightmare needs to be over.

Thx, these are supposed to be very good intakes, plus the portwork that's being done, I keep trying to not get my hopes up about results...
