Using a thin sheet of Nida Core / Carbon Core shouldn't add hardly any weight.

I don't know how often you access the area under the bed (I never did!). Our gun had extra prop holders under there but we didn't have extra props so, no need for them. I never wanted to put anything under there because the zipper was kindve a PITA and I didn't want to weigh down the bow. So, my recomendation would be to screw the support down. Or if you absolutely needed to access that area, L brackets to hold it in place or cut a hinged access panel and then screw it into place. Whatever works.

However, like Quinlan suggested, maybe I never had a problem with it because my alcohol intake was always more than sufficient. Lol
