Anyone know who bought this Gun?

Sorry, I can't post pics. its the blue 2010 38 w/600SCI's out of Scottsdale Az.

I've seen it boating out of my harbor twice now. They were out running around today. Just wondering where it's out of.

For $285 THOUSAND dollars on one side of the cabin you get , no sink, no storage , no locker, no built in cooler , no crapper.. nope you get a cooler strapped down with some bungies, but WAIT THERE`S MORE! The other side of the cabin.... yes you get a SECOND strapped down cooler for just $285k!!! (plus shipping and handling.) .. . IF you call now we will include a shore power hook up INSIDE the boat which will be awesome when trying to put on a cover, guaranteed to rain in the boat or your money back.
If you call now we`ll also include a Sport chassis for only $250 thousand dollars! All this can be your for over half million dollars, please call in the next 5 minutes or this deal is GONE!!

Annual bravo rebuilds not included

Dan,
you're funny. Possibly the only Cig owner who constantly bashes Cigs.

ICDEDPPL 03-17-2017 09:22 AM

"Constantly" thou??

I love the room in my Cig!

Maybe that`s the COPO of Cig,
I`m just saying for that kind of coin at least throw in some Yeti`s :bananalove:

BTW, my buddy flew out West last year, test drove the boat on Havazoo, made a deal, flew back home. was ready to drive out to pick it up and the owner told him sorry, someone else offered me more $$$$ so deal off. What a tool. At least he ended up with a nice ride.

Don't forget and Factory Troop Carrie seating. I'm a real Cigarette lover but do not understand some of the modern styling design.

Now if those coolers were the "Coolest Coolers", (they come with Bluetooth speakers & a blender) it would be a real deal! Except for the fact that the developer of the "Coolest Cooler" swindled about 42,000 backers out the $$ for coolers that were promised and never delivered...

I get it, fully agree.

New stuff is all hot rod, no room for the full cabin.

Sooooo, just for argument. If you upgrade and put a "REAL" set of drives and trannies on these, can you then add a padded V-berth to even out the distribution??? Phil ripped me a new one when I said I wasn't interested the gladiator because there is no cabin. His response "All you guys up North want a cabin" I guess he meant - WTF? this thing is pure hot rod, probably not the right brand for you.....

That ad is a couple years old, I would think current value of that boat is in the 220-230k range. A lot of guys have close to that into old boats. This boat probably runs mid 90's with small power and easy maintenance other than the drives, xr's are cheap. Also a lot guys don't give a chit about a nice cabin. Every marina I've ever stayed at has bathrooms and showers.

bck 03-17-2017 12:43 PM

I'm a fan of the small simple cabin, but I'd expect to see the lack of cabin reflected in the price vs a comparable cig with a more extravagant cabin.

frickstyle 03-17-2017 12:49 PM

I need the cabin to pass out in. We have party islands, so we don't head back to the marina after a day on the water. I stay put, no boozin' and cruzin'!

thisistank 03-17-2017 01:33 PM

I'm a huge fan (as I've stated over and over) of the 90's cigarette cabins and think they are one of if not the best cabin in an offshore boat. We never slept in our cabin on the gun but we were down there all the time, chillin out of the sun, mixing drinks, hanging out, etc. i enjoyed sitting at the table facing the person I was talking to having conversations like civilized person with drinks on the table in between us ;) I really wish cigarette would at least offer the option of a full cabin (but I think it's a CG issue). I'm starting to shop boats again and not really even considering a TS because of the cabin issue, unless I found some crazy deal that could make me overlook that, but even then....won't be getting another 90's gun because I want something a little smaller and lighter. So, the cig market is shrinking rapidly for me.

frickstyle 03-17-2017 01:55 PM

I'll sell you mine, I'll cut 3-6' off of it if it makes you feel better.

How do you sleep in a bathroom? Sounds gross.
Us Northern peasants sleep on our boats all weekend long.
I get my best sleep on the boat..... gentle rocking, sound of the water hitting the sides, the hum of the AC, dark and cool like a cave, turn the ac down to 63* throw on some down blankets, pass out and have no idea of the time.. I`m getting sleepy

So true, I know exactly what your saying. When I think of the next boat In about 5 years I play out the same discussion in my head...

jbraun2828 03-17-2017 10:58 PM

....

jbraun2828 03-17-2017 11:04 PM

My boat has the same bed as any mid 80-90 cig. I have a 9 year old son and his favorite thing to do is stay on the boat. He's never complained about a/c or a real bathroom, maybe it's just the way he was raised

sprsptr 03-18-2017 06:37 AM

Somebody thought it was worth the money. Come on you guys, we all know there is an azz for every seat. This is the state of the current market as we have discussed before. Supply and demand will dictate compromise, sacrifice and change. Also, Many guys with heads are proud of never having used them! The real issue: Did they buy the truck too?

offshoredrillin 03-18-2017 08:23 AM

its a never ending conundrum, full (older) cabins weigh more, loss of speed, needs bigger power, more to maintain
newer cabins have less amenities, but have less weight so boat runs faster with less power, easier to maintain... never gonna please everyone. and as always there is a yuuuuge difference between asking price and actual selling price...

sprsptr 03-18-2017 09:35 AM

So let's re-cap: New is big money, old is more maintenance, less speed per hp. What a revelation! Still love my high power PITA maintenance straight bottom Tiger. So what if you pee in a bucket, keeps the women off the boat and out of the way when you go out to do battle! :)

thisistank 03-18-2017 12:58 PM

Speaking of big powered older big cigs. That tiger Lipship has a freakin DEAL!!! Nice set up with 3a's and eickart power for 85k. Can't believe it's not gone.

frickstyle 03-18-2017 01:26 PM

^^^That is a deal. Possibly your next boat Tank......

F-2 Speedy 03-18-2017 02:02 PM

575's with 3.3 injected whipples are gonna be well into the low 700 hp range...........Tank there's an 87 TG in Tulsa that needs finished mid 30K range sitting on a very nice trailer, seller said he has all the things to finish it.

I already spoke to Phil about it. It's not for me. I want a smaller more managable boat with more cabin Ammenaties. I'd have to buy a new truck too. Still a great price. Like I said, surprised it's still there.
