I think it is the same boat. Look at the pics of it with the rub rail off you can see orange/yellow paint on the blue boat

Either way, interesting history. 4 flat deck evolution's built and then there was 4 stretched gun deck 42's built before the introduction of the Tiger. Learn something new everyday. Cigarette really did a lot of one off (or a few off) straight custom builds in the late 80's through 90's.

I agree. I assumed one of you cig gurus would recognize the boat and maybe help identify if legit.

i could be wrong but i thought all the 01 tigers were stepped, thats the first thing that caught my eye for suspicion. 00 was the first year of vacuum bagging and mine was the first for that, then i think all 01s were stepped. also look at the pic of the cockpit, under the dash pad it says national marine

Interesting Tank. So it's an interesting hybrid/crossover between evo-tiger

The deck on that orange one is different than my tiger - it's got those "strakes" running lengthwise, mine is flat across.

Cabin door isn't a molded step door, got that compass in the middle. Cool history...

Yes. These had a stretched Top Gun deck, so the strakes on the bow are there and the dash and cockpit resemble a gun. Most likely why Jim Diesel thought it to be a Gun when he first saw it. It's apparently another step towards the Tiger from the Revolution with the bubble deck to the flat deck Evolution (4 made, 3 left) to this, which actually has "Evolution" designation on the side of the fairing in one of the old pics. Craig said he thinks they built like 3 or 4. Built them to race, all went over seas but these were built after the flat deck Evolutions and still used a different deck than the Tiger. Sweet boat either way. I really dig the look and aggressive stance, layout, full cabin, etc. Would be a fun runner with some 6's and big power staggered twins. Wave crusher.
